So
I went to my dad's this past weekend.
As per usual, here's a list of things I saw and what I thought:
Arsenic and Old Lace (1944):
I mean, for it being a 1944 Thriller Crime movie with some comedy in it, it was okay. It was funny, but it wasn't my cup of tea. I'm not a huge Frank Capra fan. I'm more of a Mel Gibson fan myself, but all in all, it was okay. I mean, the only reason why I watched it was because my grandmother wanted my dad and Aunt to expand mine and my cousin's theatrical horizons and have us watch classics.
Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017)
Okay, Tony's Dad-like ambitions and rules regarding Peter's safety is sooo sweet!!! He literally even says "God, I'm starting to sound like my dad..." And the fact that Peter even calls for Tony whenever he's in trouble is so sweet!! Tony's and Peter's Father/Son Relationship. That is all.
Thor: Ragnarok (2017)
Loved it!! This was one of those Marvel movies that you could see without seeing the other ones though. If you've seen the other Avengers movies, this was like "Hey, Thor and The Hulk have been absent. This is what happened to them." If you haven't seen them, then you're fine. Just know the guy with blonde hair is Thor, the big green guy is The Hulk, and the place is Asgard, and you're set.
Stranger Things (2016)
I know, I know. It's almost the end of 2017, The Duffer Brothers just released Season 2 of St, and it seems that I still haven't watched it yet. Someone's calling "blasphemy" right about now. Here's the thing, for the longest time, I was never a fan of Sci-Fi/thriller stuff. So when my mom started watching it and she said it was kinda scary and Sci-Fi, I instantly went "Yup. Nope. Not watching that." So time skip to yesterday. My dad and I were walking around the mall before Thor and we went to Hot Topic to just browse. There was some ST stuff by the front and he said "Have you seen that yet?" And I said "No" And he said "We'll watch it tonight and see if you're into it." So that night, we watched the first episode. It was really good. We watched the next two. They were really good!! Now I wanna watch more!!
Split (2017)
Now I didn't watch it again, but if you all remember that movie about the guy, Kevin, who has 23 (24) personalities and he abducts the three girls, my stepdad and Mom were Home on Saturday and they were gonna watch a movie for my stepdad's belated birthday. That movie was in an Academy Award folder on Portal and my stepdad said "Ruthie says that's a great movie.". They watched it...10 minutes of it...before my mom called my dad and ripped him a new one for letting me watch it. She was like "You let our daughter watch a movie about a guy who abducts and r*pes 3 young girls?! What the hell is the matter with you?!" I CHOSE TO WATCH THE MOVIE!! And my dad said that we'll watch it until it scared me, then we'll shut it off. But I watched the whole thing! I liked the movie!!! But her bitching didn't stop there. When my dad brought me back to my mom today, she started back in on him today, then I shot back with "So you hate abduction movies? If you so badly hate the fact that I watched Split, then why do you let me watch Beauty and the Beast?!" And she said "It's not an abduction movie!!" And I said "He held Belle's father as prisoner! Then held Belle as prisoner in return for her father's freedom!" And then she went quiet.
So now I have to watch it with my mother and stepfather. AGAIN!!!
