Me: This week's brought some weird ass stuff.
Ale: Yep.
Me: *tells him about thing that happened at mom's work* and you started the week by not only falling up the garage stairs and into the dining room, but also fainting and falling down the stairs and almost spraining your ankle, then actually spraining it 2 days later, which how is it, by the way?
Ale: Pained, but not as much. And- *chuckles* you're right.
Me: I think out of all of us, and by "all of us", I mean everyone who sits at the table, we've all been to Hell in a hand basket in some way, but I think you've been dragged deeper!!
Ale: *laughs* I mean, who knows? Maybe next week I'll come in with my foot in a cast cuz I somehow broke it, me being the dipshidiot I am!
Me: Okay honey...I'm going to relay the exact words Elizabeth Schuyler Hamilton said to her beloved Alexander to you, my beloved Alexander: "The fact that you're alive is a miracle. Just stay alive. That would be enough."
