Heres why

A Letter To My Readers:

Dear Readers,

In order to keep the slow, impending depression from coming, please do not ask your Junior or Senior/Year 12 or Year 13 friends where they would like to go to college.

Do, however, ask them what they think they might like to study during college to at least show them that you are interested in their life.

I made the mistake of asking both Ale, Han, and Bee what they would want to study and where they would like to go, and I have been stifling sobs and crying for the past 20 minutes.

Han wants to go clear on the other side of the country where family lives, and where there is a great medical college, since she wants to be a dentist.

Bee wants to go to the southern Midwest of the country where family lives, and where some of the best law schools are located, since he wants to be a lawyer.

Ale is being looked at by an Ivy League med school in the northwest part of the country, and he's thinking he may want to apply there, since he wants to be an RN for pediatric surgeons.

And where am I? LOOKING AT LIBERAL ARTS COLLEGES IN THE EASTERN-MOST PART OF THE COUNTRY OVER HERE WHILE MY FUCKING ROCK, MY FOUNDATION, AND MY HEART ARE ALL FUCKING OVER THERE, ON THE "MY FUTURE OCCUPATION ACTUALLY HAS SOME SIGNIFICANT VALUE, UNLIKE SOME PEOPLE'S!!" SIDE!!

*inhales deeply*

So please, just...just ask them what they want to study.

Don't ask them where they would want to go.

Don't be a dumbass.

Don't be me.
