Yesterday
Me, Stepdad, and Mom: *in Mom's office*
Stepdad: So Ruthie, does Ale know where he wants to go to college?
Me: Not yet. At the moment, he's more concerned about getting his credits and making sure his portfolio for Tech is ready cuz if he doesn't have that portfolio, he fails Tech.
Mom: Wait..."getting his credits"? What credits could he be missing?
Me: Well other than one more credit of English and History, the school came to him, and sent an email to Tech, saying, "You haven't done Health or Gym in 3 years! You're missing credits!" and-
Mom: Wait a minute, doesn't he go to Tech for like, medicine?
Me: Yeah, but hang on. Before he could say anything, Tech emailed back and went "Um...this kid? Yeah, he's here for Nursing Assistance! He's got Health credits! He's fine!". So then, the school went "Well initially, this sits on him. Do you want to take a Health class to be safe, or no?" and he thought 'I already know about abstinence and "Don't Do Drugs" and safe sex and healthy BMI and weight and the babies come out of the hoo-hah. I don't need a Health class that's gonna make it harder than it is. Plus, do I look physically active to you?! No.' But his way of converting that was just "Can I take Chem and Human Anatomy, since I have all of my Math credits?" and both schools said "Sure".
Mom: That school can be so ignorantly stupid sometimes!
Stepdad: I liked Human Anatomy. I'm sure since he wants to go into the med field, he'll like it too.
Me: Yup.
Stepdad: Just as long as the body he's using is not you, I'm fine.
Mom: o-O
Me: WHAT WAY SHOULD THAT BE TAKEN?! SEXUALLY OR SCIENTIFICALLY EXPERIMENTAL?!
Stepdad: *laughing*
Mom: *says Stepdad's full name*, WHAT THE HELL?!
Me: *facepalms* I can't believe I just friggin heard that out loud!
Stepdad: Yup, that was my out loud voice.
Me: Those are some of the thoughts we internalize!!
