I was the teacher that Kay had when she learned how to swim. She was this 9 year old who was still wearing floaties and a swim ring, and The and I already knew how to swim. So before she even attempted to wedge her arms into toddler floaties, I hopped in the pool (just in case something happened) and The picked her up and threw her in. (The pool's depth is about 4 feet and she was 4'6")
As soon as she came up, she just stood there, blank, and muttered "Oh this isn't deep."
