It's  11 pm. My newly wedded wife and I walked down the dark street of the City after watching a movie. We turned down a dark street, arm in arm, as we laughed and talked. We are taking a short cut to where we parked our car, at the end of the street. We stopped when we heard the bang of a trash can lid hit the floor. We kept walking but we kept our voices low. Her arm tightened around mine.

"It's ok love." I whsipered to her, hoping to calm her nerves. A strong force pulled her from my arm and a loud scream escaped her lips. I snapped my head back to see a man in all black hold a gun to her pretty head.

"Get away from her!" I yelled, rushing forward.

"Don't move!" He yelled back, turning the gun to me. My baby's fearful expression made tears sting my cheeks.

"What do you want?!" I screamed at the top of my lungs in anger.

"Money, car keys, house keys, phones, what ever you got." He said fiercely.

I pulled my phone and my wallet and car keys out of my pockets.

"Please don't hurt her." I said more quietly.

"Set it down! And back away!" He yelled. My beautiful girl stood with the man's arm wrapped around her neck tightly. She shook violently with tears rolling down her rosy cheeks.

"Don't worry honey." I whispered. Sirens blared down the streets and the man looked like he started to panic. I leaned over and set the items on the ground, my heart filling with hope that the love of my life will be freed.

"Please don't hurt her." I whispered as I finished setting down the things he wanted. Before I could look up I heard the sound of cars parking and feet stomping on the pavement and men yelling. A single gun shot. My neck snapped up and I saw the strange man charge away from the scene and a beautiful young lady sprawled across the pavement with blood flowing from her temple. My darling's eyes glazed over, her mouth opened. She whispered something.

"I love you." I crawled over to her and took her hand, "I love you too." I whispered. Her hand slipped out of mine and onto the pavement and her breathing stopped. I screamed so loud it felt like the world shook.

 "I love you so much,baby." I whispered as I cried. Then, Everything turned black as my body tumbled uselessly on top of the most perfect girl in the world.
