Snapshot AU Part 1

So recently I've been on YouTube and discovered DoctorSiren (Go sub to her). She created a series called the Snapshot AU, go check it out its really good.(If I'm a big brain I'll link it to the page...) In one of her more recent animations I saw a comment saying something along the lines of, "I don't understand what's happening." So now I'm going to write out each 'episode'. Also, this is based of NPC Grian and Hermitcraft, so if you don't know what that is...you're not going to understand this.

I told you this was a stupid idea.

Snapshot AU Part 1

NPC Grian (or NPG for short) stood in his closet, like every single day in every single week in every single year. Grian created him to have one purpose: to build rustic houses, but whenever he did that, it made the real Grian mad. NPG remembered that one horrible day where he was nagging Grian to build a rustic house, he asked him all day and NPG had never gotten a reply. By that night Grian was fed up. He had yelled and yelled at NPG for at least an hour before locking him in the closet for being 'annoying'. Grian could be irrational like that sometimes.

NPG longed to get out of the closet; any normal robot could, except him. Grian had never programmed him how to open a door. Grian has always believed that NPG had no feelings; since he was AI, he must not have any sort of emotions, right? The truth was NPG was part human. His brain was half computer, half human, giving him feelings and emotions as well as some robotic limitations, but Grian had no idea.

NPG assumed that he told all of his fellow Hermitcrafters that he was dead, since no one had come looking for him. He had never really seen any of Grian's new friends, but he did remember Taurtis; Taurits would come and look for him, right?

Right then he heard footsteps, not Grian's steps, but someone else's. Grian had quiet bouncy steps, but this other person had loud steps that echoed down the hallway.

"HELP!" NPG shouted, hoping to get that person's attention. This was his only time to escape, if he messed it up, he would be stuck in here for another year, or even forever. NPG banged on the door harder and harder sending waves of pain through his forearms. He kept wishing and wishing that person would here. He herd the footsteps getting closer then a click as the door swung open to reveal a very tall man with jet black hair and a matching mustache. NPG fell forward into the arms of the man in front of him with a sigh of pure happiness.

"Thank you so much!"

"Woah there!" He the dark-haired man said as he caught the robot in his arms. "Who are you?"

"N-NPC Grian." The robot studded, slowing gaining balance and working his way back up onto his feet. "Grian created me a long time ago."

"I'm Mumbo Jumbo, or just Mumbo." The taller male told. "Why were you locked up?"

"Grian didn't like me, so he shut me in his cabinet like a Disney princess." Mumbo laughed at the last comment.

"Would you like to meet everyone here? I'm sure they would like you." Mumbo asked; NPG nodded and the headed outside for the first time in two years.

Mumbo had sent a message on his communicator and nearly as soon as he stepped outside, there was a crowd of friendly-looking people waiting to see him. NPG cautiously stepped up to the first four waiting for him. There was a person in a bee costume, a man with a shiny diamond eye and brown scruff on his chin, a lady with long blonde hair and aviation goggles resting on her head and a wizard in his boxers holding a very cute grey cat.

"Hi! I'm False, it's nice to meet you." The blonde girl said eagerly shaking NPG's hand.

"I'm NPC Grian!" He chirped; NPG continued around the four introducing himself and meeting the so called 'Hermits'. The bee man's name was Xisuma, the admin. The guy with the brown scruff was Iskall, the wizard was Scar and the cat was Jellie.

While the whole meet-and-greet went on between NPG and the Hermits, the real Grian watched in disapproval. 'Why is he getting more attention than me? Just wait until they get to know that rustic-house brat.' He thought. Almost on cue, NPG twisted his head around to glare at his creator. 'That's right b-tch. I'm back' His eyes seemed to say; NPG whipped his head back around an instant later so looked back at the four he just met to see some new people approaching.

He met Stress, Cleo, Joe, Ren, Jevin and the Boomer trio, he was also the second official member of the 'Robros' cult with Doc. As more and more people gathered around NPG, the more his fake, plastic smile became real, with these new people he was loved and wanted, a foreign feeling that Grian never gave him. As all this was happening, NPG finally wrapped his mind around the idea. 'I'm free now' He thought. 'Grian no longer controls me in that little closet, I'm free.'

"Hey Grian!" NPG shouted, shooting him a sly smile as he turned around.

"W-what?" Grian stuttered, slightly scared about how NPG would handle all this.

"You don't control me anymore." The robot bragged. "I'm free and I can do what I want. Your plan failed...like everything else you do." NPG sneered, grabbing Grian's upper arm and shoving him against a wall. "You made my life hell and I plan on returning the favor." Grian squirmed under NPG's iron hold.

"L-Let me go!" NPG tightened his grip on Grian's shirt collar.

"Still as pathetic as I remember." He suddenly let go of Grian and he fell to the ground with a thud. "So, come after me again! Come on! I dare you! I f-cking dare you!" NPG shouted. Grian struggled to his feet as he coward from his very own creation. "Yeah that's what I thought. And here I was thinking that you would've toughened up over the years."

"W-Why are you even mad? You're f-free now." The real Grian nervously asked. Normally, Grian wouldn't have let NPG push him around, but now NPG was a threat; to him, his friends and the entire server.

"You know good and well why I'm mad. I was living a perfectly good life building rustic houses, but then you decided that my purpose was annoying and locked me in a closet for two years." NPG said in a terribly calm and cheerful manner. "In that time, you experienced life in the fullest and never gave me a second thought! You knew I was gone, gone forever and you were glad!" NPG was getting more pissed by the second "And now, you will pay. You and everyone else in this wretched server will pay! Everyone you love will die and I'll be sure to save you a front row seat." With a swish of NPG's bouncy brown hair, he had turned and left leaving a very terrified Grian in his wake. (NPG is kinda a butthole not gunna lie...)

NPG went back to his garage that night; he had nowhere else to stay and he didn't want to be a bother to anyone else, so he planned to sleep in the old house. Yeah, the one he was locked up in for two years. NPG walked to the back of the dusty garage and leaned back a bit to rest his back on the wall and closed his eyes. He took a long breath in and exhaled as calmness overtook him, it was finally quiet. After living in a closet, having a full day of meeting people and flying around is very draining. He let his eyes close in the darkness and he felt his body slowly shutting down.

His hearing began to diminish when he heard the nearly silent creak of a door opening. NPG lazily opened his eyes to see the disturbance, but instead he was met with a short, brunette wielding a crowbar.

"Huh?" NPG wondered aloud, but he was cut off when he felt the large meatal bar smash into his head. A shoe came up and slammed into NPG's chest, knocking the air out of his lungs causing NPG to fall onto the floor, his back pressed into the wall and the figure blocking all ways to escape. The previous blow to the head had prevented him from screaming or moving in general. He was stuck. The shoe came up again and smashed into his face and blood spilled out all over the ground. NPG's body was numb with no energy left in him to fight back. The figure standing above him however showed him no mercy, he kept slamming the crowbar onto his head using every ounce of force possible.

NPG rag dolled onto his side and felt his body failing him; the figure had stopped hitting him and instead loomed over NPG, permanently proving his dominance. 'No.' NPG thought 'It can't end like this. I won't let it.' He heard a soft beep coming from the inside of his head and all pain was gone. Infinite energy had kicked in and he felt strong enough to run a marathon; his robot side has taken over and there was no way to stop it.

NPG grabbed the figures shoes and pulled himself up to meet the man eye to eye. Reflected in NPG's glowing red eyes was Grian's pure and utter panic. NPG grabbed his creator's hands and began to spin him around like they were ballroom dancing together.

"You thought you could beat me." NPG growled. "Surprise. You. Were. Wrong." NPG gracefully jumped up and landed with his arm around Grian's sholders, pulling him down to NPG's level. "Never underestimate me." He hissed into Grian's ear. NPG gripped the others wrist as he kept their bodies close to one another, so his blood dripped onto Grian's face. "Because when you do." NPG whipped his founder around, so he lost his balance and fell victim to NPG's moves; not being able to firmly stand still. "It is certain that you will never come out on top!" NPG flung Grian the closet and slammed the door and locked it with a click. Before he slammed it however, he made sure to permanently remember Grian's shocked expression, sweat dripping forehead and bloodied face and arms.

"LET ME OUT!" He screamed from the confines of the closet. He herd banging fists and shouted apologies but NPG payed no mind and walked out of the garage, making sure to take Grian's newly created infinity gauntlet. 'This'll come in handy.' He thought, pulling the golden glove over his hand. With one snap, the gauntlet's power was revealed when NPG's visible meatal robot parts disappeared. He now looked exactly like the real Grian; there was not a single difference between NPG and Grian, besides the fact that the weaker of the two was gone and would never be coming back.

"Hey G!" Mumbo waved from his bench. The Hermits were having a fireworks show, that night (put on by the one, the only TangoTek). NPG jumped up and sat between Doc and Mumbo. "Glad you could make it." Mumbo put his arm around the Grian look-alike. He leaned into it and looked up as the explosives lit up the sky.

"I'm glad I got to come."

I love how 4 minutes and 23 seconds of video got drama-tized by me and now it's a solid 1,837 words. Also, y'all have no idea how fun this was to write, even though its done in 3rd person. So, if you guys didn't like this, I'm still going to write it. So I hope you did like it.

P.S I'm open for requests! ------->

Love y'all!
