Mum: *in line at a checkout at a grocery story, holding baby me*

Lil' Me: *stares at guy behind us then starts making cute faces to get his attention*

Guy: *looks at me and smiles*

Lil' Me: *starts screaming bloody murder*

Mum: *confusion, turns around*

Guy: Sorry! I'm sorry, I just... I smiled at her...

Mum: ... Ah, okay, that's fine. *internally; Wtf is wrong with my child*

Lil' Me: *does the same*

Guy: *hesitantly looks at me and smiles again*
