The Magic Knight Hero

Cold was the night on the outskirts of the Clover kingdom, darkened by the clouds that veiled the moonlight. Thunderous cries echoing over the lands as the rains poured down, pelleting the ground viciously. The only source of light was the lightning crashing down for the few brief moments it illuminated the forests and meadows. Not a single soul dared be out and about during such ghastly weather in fear of what mother nature has wrought about them.

All except for one lone figure, a faint glow of green making its way through the shadows casted by the clouds and trees. Silently it sauntered through the woods without a course. With every step they took the puddles and winds from the storm were blown away with every step it took. As if trying to flee this person's very presence. Any animal that was brave, or foolish, enough to be out in this storm, scurried away. Feeling the wave of ferocity and pure rage radiating off its form.

This person, no, this thing wasn't a person. It was a demon on the prowl. Lurking for prey and whatever else it could find. Covered in torn and raged clothing that looked to be barely held together. Cracked and jagged metal covers its limbs like armor about to be shattered. Claws and fangs were bared, ready for whatever fool who would dare try and battle it. It had no time for games nor any form of rest. It had to move forward. It had to keep fighting. It had to find something, or someone.

"Shigaraki...All For One..." It drooled out. Its voice is gravely and dry. Growling with every breath it took. "I'll make you pay..."

Even in terrible weather, or even because of it, the magic knights still had work to do. Especially during these rough times as of late. To the point where multiple captains had to work together despite their feelings about one another, all by the order of the Wizard King. They had their work out for them these days with whoever or whatever seems to be going around and hunting down criminals.

"Damn. Another one?" One man huffed, taking an extra long breath of his cigarette. "First the attack on the capital, and now we got some sort of demon to hunt down. So annoying." He sighed heavily as he messed with his black hair.

"We don't have much of a choice, Captain Yami." A woman voiced beside him, securing an abundance of white cloaked individuals that had been all but destroyed. Not caring for the groans of the enemies before her as her briars ensnared them.

On their robes that was a single symbol that resembled a key with three eyes arranged vertically. They knew this symbol well, for it was the mark of the rogue group of mages that ransacked the capital and crippled their fellow captain. Though that didn't stop the man who looked like he was in the middle of a midlife crisis from groaning about these missions. They cut into his precious shitting time after all.

"Fuck off, Captain Roselei." He snapped back sarcastically before throwing away his finished cigarette. "I still don't know why Julius wants me at all these damn sites. It's not like there aren't another SEVEN CAPTAINS who could do this damn job!" He yelled, lighting up another cig.

"You're the only one who can read the notes the quote on quote 'demon' leaves behind." She calmly responded, holding said note in front of the idiot's face.

"It says the same thing as all the rest. 'Took care of them. Going after more.' And no, I'm not the only one. I taught Julius my home country's language so he can teach the rest of you lazy bastards."

"Char!" Another woman yelled out, running over to the two before things could escalate any further.

"Sol! I told you to call me captain." The blonde woman scolded the young tanned woman who joined them.

"Sorry Char." She chuckled lightly before resuming her professional expression. "Talked to some of the locals about what happened. Said pretty much the same thing as all the other incidents. Green lightning, high winds, and a whole lot of gibberish. Though one said that the guy that attacked them kept talking to himself during the fight. No one could understand what he was saying though."

"Another dead end then. Just great I got out of bed for nothing." Yami groaned, wanting nothing more to get back home.

"Not quite Yami sir!" A rambunctious young man with a mohawk said with a wide smile as he gingerly walked to the group. "Turns out one of the people actually got a good look at his face before he left. So we're looking for a guy with green hair, freckles and looks like he hasn't slept in years."

"That's it? You said they got a good look! Damnit Magna!"

"The guy said he was in a hurry to get out of there. C'mon, there's a battle going on and most people's first thought is to get out of there." Magna laughed like a maniac for a bit, but a glare from his captain, who was drawing his sword, quickly shut him up. "A-anyway. Word is that they saw him heading south, the nearest village is still a good three or four days' travel without spatial magic. And there is a magic knight post not far from there too."

"Still doesn't help us with what we're dealing with here." Charlotte thought for a moment. "We should still get in contact with the post and have a party of knights get ready. Relay everything we know thus far."

"Okay, tell them that there is some guy dressed as a monster capable of flight, darkness, smoke and god knows what else who is also strong enough to take out over twenty mages." Magna said with a heavy sigh.

"I guess things are starting to get interesting then." Yami chuckled, he always liked colorful people. Maybe he'd have this demon join his squad. Wouldn't be the first time he did after all.

"The isn't much else that can be done for now. Let's return to the capitol and have the prisoners processed. See what other information we can get about the Eye of the Midnight Sun." The Blue Rose captain said as she began walking away, dragging the prisoners behind her.

"Where did Finral run off too anyway?"

"Last I saw him, he was flirting with some girls."

"Of course he was. Damn punk." Yami sighed as he went to find his mode of transportation.

"Hey, Char?" Sol caught her captain's attention. "What do you think about this demon guy?"

"Personally I find that he's working outside the law quite atrocious." The captain sighed. "The sheer brutality of this person is reflected by the fact that he leaves these men. He shows up out of nowhere and destroys whatever is in his path. Whatever his motives are, we will find out soon enough."

"Sounds good, I guess." Sol lazily yawned. "Though, as weird as it sounds, some of the women who claimed to see his face said he looked cute. Can't really imagine it though."

"What does that have to do with anything?" her captain looked at her inquisitive, getting a mere shrug in response. "And how many times do I have to tell you to call me captain?"

"Sure thing Char!"

Roughly a day and a half has passed since Izuku had last fought a group of cultist. Mere weeks after he was transported to this land, courtesy of an underhanded tactic of the demon lord All For One. And not a single person he's met or fought has given him an ounce of useful information. His mind was clouded by his own determination to keep going. To get back home and save everyone.

No matter how much he learned, it wasn't enough. No matter what he tried, it never worked. And not matter how hard the vestiges of the legendary quirk, One For All, pushed him to take a break, he dared not stop. He couldn't forgive himself if he did. Not without remembering what had happened that day.

The information that they were spoon fed about the enemy's whereabouts, they didn't even question it. His guilt about what had happened to Lady Nagant that pushed him to go in unprepared and unaided. The explosion that devoured him in a flash. And the look of terror that he saw on All Might's face as he saw his father figure for what may have been the last time.

He could not bear to feel any form of relaxation after that. His conscience wouldn't let him. Not after his actions are what got him in this mess and may have doomed everyone he loved that day.

"Nineth." A voice called out to him in his mind. The voice of the first user held a worried tone as all he could do was watch the young man. "You need to stop and rest."

"I'll rest when I'm dead and Shigaraki is finally beaten." Was all Izuku Midoriya, the ninth wielder of One For All, could say as he kept moving.

"It isn't that simple, kid!" Yelled Daigoro from the back. His normal rough and grumpy demeanor is replaced by worry and fear. "We're in a new world! We have no clue where we are and our only experience with people are those fucking cultist bastards! Take a goddamn break so we can all think this through!"

"Listen Nineth, we know how you're feeling. None of us could have expected All For One to use a tactic like that." En said calmly. "He spent years trying to take the quirk that he created, we would never have thought he would just try and destroy it. Let alone warp us to a different place or time entirely."

"Please Izuku! You can't keep going like this!" Nana cried out, her visage showing her tears and motherlike worry. "When was the last time you slept? Or ate?! You're falling apart!"

"I'll stop when it all ends." He responded, not caring for the pain he was feeling. All he did was keep walking forward. Towards the city that the last group he defeated had said they were going. "Every second I waste now is a second closer to All For One is to winning."

"Kid, you are going to get yourself killed." The second user said sternly. "You know you're injured, you're tired, you're hungry. You're lost with nowhere to go. And there isn't a thing you do about it right now."

"I AM NOT GOING TO GIVE UP!" The boy yelled out in rage, a flare of One For All exploding at the outburst.

"We're not saying to give up. We're telling you to rest before you get in over your head." The third user said calmly. "You've done nothing but hunt down the organization since you've heard of it! You claim that you're doing it to get back home but what has it got you!"

"Shut up!"

"In the past three weeks since you got here you've done nothing but fight! These people aren't like the other criminals we've fought! Their powers exceed our world's by a great margin! And how much have you learned?"

"Shut up!" He yelled again, his pace slowing down until he came to a complete halt.

"Kid, listen." Hikage spoke up. "We haven't learned much of anything. The closest thing we have to knowledge on returning is that there are warping powers and they claim its all magic. But what else do we have? Nothing."

"I don't care! I'll find a way out of this mess! I'll get back home! I'll put All For One in the fucking ground!"

"You'll kill yourself before you even get the chance!"

"Then that just means I was never good enough!" He yelled, tears etching at his eyes. Knees shaking, breath raged, he looked ready to fall over. "If you all aren't going to say anything useful then just shut up! So what if I'm tired?! So what if I'm hungry?! SO WHAT IF I DIE TRYING?!! ALL FOR ONE ISN'T GOING TO STOP SO WHY THE HELL SHOULD I?!"

"WE DON'T KNOW!" Nana yelled out, tears flowing from her face. "We don't know what to do! None of us do! We can't even get in contact with Toshi's vestige! It's frozen! We don't know what's going on! We don't have a plan! We don't even know if there is a way to get back!"

"I'll find a way! I'll get back and then finish the job you all started! I can't stop now!"

Before any of the former users could speak again, there was a sudden shock that panged at the back of his head. There was no time to look for the threat, nor was there a need to. The area became warm, the heat escalating to burning temperatures. It was suffocating. He knew that he was in for a fight.

A burning ball of flames dropped from the sky above him, destroying the ground where he once stood. He barely dodged that sudden attack thanks to quickly activating his quirk subconsciously. He didn't even register what had happened before his attention was drawn to the assailant. Vicious laughter echoed out as the smoke cleared, revealing a woman with long vermillion hair that danced in the wind. Surrounded by roaring flames as she stood up with glowing blue eyes.

"So you must be the demon I've heard so much about!" She laughed loudly with a confident smirk that reminded him of some he cared for. "I have to say that I'm not that impressed. If you're trying to hide, then maybe you shouldn't yell so much! And people say I have no common sense."

'Damn it! What the hell am I gonna do now?' He mentally asked, staring at the violent woman in front of him warily.

"As a magic knight I was ordered to bring you in, but they never said how many pieces." She yelled, flaming paws manifesting around her trying to grab him.

He quickly dodged and tried to run away, but she intercepted him and punched him in the gut. Not giving him any time to breathe she rushed him again with another. Izuku used Black-Whip to grab hold of one of the fallen trees and swung it at her. It was burning away almost instantly but he managed to regain his footing long enough to start charging Fa-Jin in his legs. After pumping his legs a few times, using Black-Whip as a sling. He launched himself away with all the force he could to escape.

The woman couldn't help but smirk as she charged up her flames. Rocketing herself after him at high speeds. Izuku was shocked by her speed but quickly began charging up an attack. The woman smiled widely as her fire burned even bright, noticing this he readied himself at max power.

"Flame Magic: Calidus Brachium!"

"Detroit Smash!"

Their attacks collided, causing an explosion that sent both of them plummeting to ground. Izuku quickly used Float and Smokescreen to cover his escape, holding his arm in slight pain. He was sure that if this fight continued, he wouldn't get out unscathed.

"Seems like you have some fight after all, Demon!" She yelled out with a wicked laugh. She was starting to have fun right now. "So how about I start taking this seriously?!" Her aura grew terrifyingly fast, licking her lips in anticipation. Flames roared around her as she cracked her knuckles.

Danger Sense was ringing, no, it was screaming at him to run, but he knew he couldn't. She'd already proven that she was far too fast to outrun. His only hope was to fight. So the only thing he could do right now was get ready for a final blow. Clenching his fist, he pumped his arm. Charging as much kinetic energy he could while using as much of One For All his arm could handle. Black-Whip wrapping around his arm like armor.

"There really is no other option, is there?" The third user said, looking over the boy's shoulder. "Fine then, just make sure you get away after this."

"Flame Magic: Calidus Brachium Barrage!"

"One For All: Faux 100% Black Gauntlet: Nebraska Smash!"

Izuku's revolving punch caused a tornado to collide with the onslaught. The force of which causes a massive explosion. To engulf the area, blinding them from one another's sight. Seeing this chance, he charged forward with his fist clenched. The smoke clearly revealed the woman, who smiled with manic glee as she appeared right in front of him. Searing blue flames on her fist.

"DETROIT SMASH!!!"

"Calidu Brachium Purgatory!"

Each fighter delivered one punch that collided with one another's face. The impact of which both of them flying to the ground. Destroying the ground beneath them as they lay there motionless in the craters. Izuku breathed heavily as he stayed there, his exhaustion finally catching up with him. Barely able to keep his eyes open.

'I was lucky to activate Black-Whipe when I went there.' He thought, flashing back to the blow from before. Using the quirk to help shield his face from a direct blow from the fiery fist. 'That woman really could throw a punch."

"Well, you can say she was pretty hot." Daigoro jokes, trying to alleviate the situation. Getting all sorts of groans in response from his fellow vestiges. "Okay. I get it. That was too soon."

"Ya think ya daft bastard." Nana stared at him. "Either way, the kid ain't getting out of here any time soon."

"You know, I think I'll just get some sleep here. Can't move at all so I don't have a choice."

"Take it easy kid. Just rest up. She ain't getting back up either so just take that nap."

Izuku couldn't help but chuckle lightly as he stayed there. Tiredness soon took over with darkness consuming him. Unable to take notice of the figure that was walking over to him. The woman that he had thought he knocked out stood over him with an unreadable expression on her face. Crouching down, she stared at him and was shocked at what she saw.

'A child?' She thought to herself. Taking a closer look at him, actually taking time to examine him she could see how dirty he was. The bags under his eyes, the torn clothing that looked like it went to hell and back twice.

"A kid did all of this? Fighting off those damn sun bastards? For how long?" She started to question. Feeling a sting on her cheek, she patted at the place she was punched. A bruise was already starting to form. "And he manages to punch a mean punch. I can only imagine how strong you're at a hundred percent."

"Now that I get a look at you, you kinda look a bit like Yami." She chuckled a bit. "Did that jackass have a kid and not tell anyone? Smart move honestly. Though maybe not, you're too cute to be related to him."

She chuckles to herself for a few moments before shrugging. Ultimately deciding she didn't feel like returning to the city just yet. She always hated how crowded it was. So she chose to pick up the kid and sling him over her shoulder. Carrying somewhere a bit safer to sleep for the night. And possibly longer since this kid was out like a light.

"A cute guy with enough power to level a forest. Heck you even gave me a bruise." She told him, though he didn't hear her. "A lioness always goes for the stronger lion so maybe you're husband material. The old bags back home are always nagging me for not having one. Meh. Problems for future me, I guess."

She sighed to herself as she walked around for a bit before she found a cave. Having no other alternative she went inside to make a quick camp. Casually throwing out the bear that was already there before she settled down for the night herself. Though she did have some slight trouble when she found the boy scooching closer to her while he slept. Shrugging it off thinking that there wasn't a problem so she just went to sleep.
