Okay so for English we're researching Christmas monsters, don't ask me why cause I don't know, but I got Frau Perchta, aka the Belly Slitter.

Now if that's not enough to make you leave and not finish reading this, I have details. She does give silver coins to those she feels behaved well and who didn't work on her feast day. She hated when people worked on her day, when they were supposed to be inside feasting with their families. But anyone who she though hadn't been good that year, got their stomachs slit open in the night. Then she'd pull out their intestines and save them for later and she'd stuff their bellies back up with garbage, rocks, and hay. Then she'd go home and eat all those organs she'd collected.

Isn't that fun?

There's also the Icelandic Yule Cat who roams the streets in Iceland once a year and kills people randomly. And I like to imagine he's Perchta's pet.

I also like to imagine Perchta married to Krampus, the German Santa Claus who's more focused on punishing bad kids than rewarding the good. I don't remember exactly what he does though. I think he kidnaps the bad children and eats them? I'm not fully sure about that one though.

So I don't really remember why I decided to post this, but yeah.

Watch out for Perchta and her gang this holidays season I guess.
