In the 'Nigel the Shakespearean Cockatoo and Friends' special feature of Rio 2, Nigel is called 'swag' by one of the producers! 

Which basically means 'cool'. He is one of my favourite villains, he's funny with his frog girlfriend and the movies wouldn't be as good without him.
