If I am a parent, I will not assume anything about my child

If  I am a parent, I will not speak badly about any sexuality or gender for fear of insulting my own child 

If I am a parent, I will make sure my children are happy  before anything else 

I will make sure they know that their education is important, but not more than their mental health 

I will give them the benefit of the doubt 

I will listen when they tell me about something they are interested 

I will not make fun of them if I don't understand something 

I will not yell at them about things they can't change 

If I am a parent, I want to be better.
