Lies always comfort people because they protect us from the painful truth. We humans couldn't handle the harsh truth. Somebody couldn't handle the truth before, someone couldn't handle the truth right now,  and one wouldn't be able to handle it later. Lies are our armour. That's all we have to save ourselves.
