A kitten sat at the park

Beside a tree under a

Canopy of green leaves. Watching as

Dogs roamed around sniffing

Everything they

Found interesting. Squirrels were

Gathering nuts while the

Happy children ran around playing. The

Ice cream truck stopped at the park. The

Jolly driver sold ice cream to the

Kids and everyone else there.

Little kids ran at the sound of the trucks

Melodious and catchy tune.

Night was when the park was mostly

Occupied by owls and other nocturnal animals.

People start to leave the park no

Questions asked and the park closed. The children would

Remember the day and

Say it was fun. They would ask to go again

Tomorrow as they were tucked in

Under their blankets all snug and cozy.

Various animals who lived in the park

Went to their homes some lived in

Xiphophyllous trees. Others lived in

Yellow flowered fields the park by the

Zoo was quiet till the next day arrived.
