The stars came out
My thoughts deepened
It was too loud

Thoughts about fairies
Thoughts about unicorns
Thoughts that carried
Mothers and newborns

Sometimes filled with joy
Sometimes filled with sorrow
Sometimes enjoyed
But other times hollowed

There were comical ones
And there were fearful
Days filled with fun
Nights being frightful

Minds filled with action
People bearing guns
Characters in a fiction
Running under blazing suns

Thinking about romance
How it would feel like
Thinking about that one glance
Would I be disliked?

Moments of a perfect life
While not having one
All that strife
Only if it had not begun

Striking thoughts
About the end of the world
Taken over by bots
It could happen in a whirl

Shades of purple and blue
And pink and white
Plunging darkness into
And yet so bright

The galaxy forming
A billion stars
Our existence so tiny
In driving cars

The night advanced
The thoughts died
On the mattress, collapsed
Dreams alight

The process repeated
A never-ending cycle
Dreams created
Holding on like shackles
