So I was randomly searching around the Internet, when I suddenly found this article:

"Coppola confirms a reboot for beloved classic 'The Outsiders'

Much loved by children and adults alike, The Outsiders is a classic must-read for everyone. It was so popular that a movie was made nearly 16 years after the book was published, proving how immortal this story really is. This movie, directed by genius Francis Ford Coppola, became a big hit between book fans and non-readers alike. And let's be honest; starring heartthrobs like Tom Cruise, Matt Dillon and Rob Lowe, who can blame them?
At an interview for Coppola's new movie Creepers Jeepers III, he admitted to what fan girls alike have been praying for for centuries.
"[The Outsiders] was such a popular movie, why not make a reboot?" He asks rhetorically. "It's be crazy not to!"
When asked about the cast, Coppola replied,
"Well we couldn't have the old cast back. They're all much to old. We'd have to redo the casting, obviously."
But he still claims that it is going to happen in the near future. "I definitely think that rebooting The Outsiders is a great idea. As soon as I finish my current movie, The Outsiders reboot will become my top priority."
S. E. Hinton, the author of the book, is also on board with this idea. "I would be honored if Francis wanted to make another movie about my book." She says. "I agree, it would be fun to see it remade."
Although neither are sure when the exact release date will be, both are certain that this movie is happening. Outsiders fans, now is finally your time to rejoice, because The Outsiders reboot is coming soon!"
