Darry: Darry is the only member of the gang who actually looks after the dog. While all the others are playing with it, he's the one that's feeding the dog, taking it on walks, and cleaning up after it.

Sodapop: Sodapop takes the dog to work to try to get customers. It always works for him, because, as Two-Bit says "If there's one thing girls like more than a cute boy, it's a cute boy with an even cuter puppy."

Ponyboy: Ponyboy and the dog are soulmates. They sleep in the same bed. They sometimes share the same food. Ponyboy even tried to smuggle it into school once! Sodapop and Two-Bit started calling the dog, 'Pony's Lover'.

Johnny: Johnny was a little scared of the dog when they first got it. After time he got used to it, but he's still somewhat wary.

Two-Bit: Two-Bit will have full-conversations with the dog. He talks to it like it's a real person, and pretends it responds. Sometimes he'll even take it a step further and treat it like an actual human. Although he does this, he refuses to call the dog anything but 'Dog'.
(Ex: "Hey, Dog, you want a beer?"
"Two-Bit, dogs can't drink-"
"Shh, Ponyboy! You're being rude!")

Dally: Dally always says things like, "Oh, I don't care about that dog. I'd give it to a shelter in a heartbeat. It's Ponyboy who likes the dog. I don't." But when he's all alone (or thinks he's all alone) he'll get down on his knees and start hugging and kissing the dog. He'll even refer to it as his 'Baby' or 'Beauty'.

Steve: Steve, like Sodapop, takes the dog to work in an attempt to get customers. It never works for him, but always works for Soda for some reason. Two-Bit claims it's because Steve is a 'Creepy weirdo', but Steve is sure it's just because of allergies.
