Okay, so I was re-reading The Outsiders, right? And I have the eBook on my phone, and something you can do is type in a word, and it shows you when that word is used. So I typed in 'Johnnycakes' because I'm working on Johnny's Birthday Tribute (March 1st) and nothing came up! So I just typed in Johnny, and I saw...I realized...

It's Johnnycake! Not Johnnycakes, Johnnycake! All my time of being an Outsiders fan...I swear, I was so sure it was Johnnycakes! (I love how autocorrect fills in Johnnycakes for me-I guess I'm an Outsiders fan, huh?)
Look! These are copied and pasted from the eBook, not changed by me at all, except for Johnnycake being put in bold.

"Five," Two-Bit disagreed. "They don't talk Arabian, I don't think. Say somethin' in Arabian, Johnnycake."

"Johnny?" Soda lifted him up and held him against his shoulder. He gave the limp body a slight shake. "Hey, Johnnycake."

"That made it worse to see him break now. Soda just held him and pushed Johnny's hair back out of his eyes. "It's okay, Johnnycake, they're gone now. It's okay."

"I felt the blood draining from my face. I've been cussed out and sworn at, but nothing ever hit me like that did. Johnnycake made a kind of gasp and his eyes were smoldering."

"Yep." Dally searched his shirt pocket for a cigarette, and finding none, said, "Gotta cancer stick, Johnnycake?"

"As we walked out into the hall, we saw Johnny's mother. I knew her. She was a little woman, with straight black hair and big black eyes like Johnny's. But that was as far as the resemblance went. Johnnycake's eyes were fearful and sensitive; hers were cheap and hard."

"Dally swallowed, wiping the sweat off his upper lip. "Johnnycake?" he said in a hoarse voice. "Johnny?"
