You slid down the wall, and slumped onto the floor. You pulled your knees up to your chest, and let the tears slide down your face. Your once bright eyes, were now dull with sadness. You knew your mascara must have been smudging, but right now you didn't care.
You felt the warm liquid drip down your face. Then you rested your head on your knees, as you thought about what happened. Sobs ripped from your throat, and the tears streamed down faster then before. Your hands clenched into fists as your body heaved in sorrow.
You threw your head back and a mangled cry forced itself out of your throat. It wasn't comprehendible, just a sound of pain. You couldn't stop the tears, even if you wanted to. You cried uncontrollably for what seemed like hours. All the while, wishing someone would come to comfort you, yet wanting to be left alone. You didn't want anyone to see you like this. A mess. Broken and dirty. Unfixable.
For now, you were alone. Completely and utterly alone. With no one to hold you, or wipe away your tears. No one to tell you that you were beautiful even when you cried. You would have to get through this like you did everything else, by yourself, and on your own. No one to help you up, just you.
But first you would cry. You would cry until you had no tears left. Cry until you forgot the world.
