Nolan yawned and opened his eyes to a wonderful sight. A glittering fish was right in front of him. And it smelled amazing!

"Morning, Nolan." Melody said from across the den.

"Hey Melody. I'm guessing you brought the fish?" He asked her. She nodded.

"Caught it myself!" She said proudly, flicking her whip tail. Nolan smiled.

"Thanks." He said as he began to eat. Melody watched him for a minute. Once he had finished the fish breakfast, she spoke up.

"I found this really cool spot that we've never been to, and I was wondering if you were up for a little adventure?" She asked. Nolan's smile grew even wider.

"You know it!" He said, taking flight and zooming out of his den. Melody followed him out and took the lead, showing Nolan to the adventure spot. He gasped in awe as they neared it.

"What is this place?" He wondered out loud.

"I call it the hidden stream!" Melody answered. A beautiful flowing river, surrounded by lush greenery on every side. On the left, there was a rocky cliff, perfect for exploring.

"Race you to the cliff!" Nolan called as he sped off.

"You're on!" Melody said, catching up to the swiftfury.

There was a sudden strong gust of wind that blew Melody right into Nolan, sending them crashing to the ground. When the tumbling dragons rolled to a stop, they were in quite an odd position. Melody was pinned to the floor by Nolan, who was on top of her. The most unfortunate part was that their lips were touching. Nolan shot up, frantically apologizing to a red faced Melody.

"Oh thor oh thor I'm so sorry that was unintentional!" He was saying.

"It's fine, it's fine, don't worry about it!" Melody said, actually enjoying their sudden contact. Nolan blushed crimson as Melody walked past him, toward the clear river for a quick drink.

"M-Melody? Can I, uh, tell you something?" Nolan asked, voice quivering.

"Sure." Melody replied.

"Listen.... please don't hate me but.... I've, uh, liked you for a while now, and uh, more than just a friend? The um, the incident that literally just happened, um..... let's just say I thought it would be best to tell you now." Nolan said. Melody's head shot Up and she spun around. Nolan, surprised, took a small step back.

"Hmm.... how do I best say this? Oh! I know!" Melody said, wanting to reply to Nolan's confession in the right way.

She bounded up to him and wrapped her wings around him. Then, right as Nolan was about to speak, she planted her lips on his, but this time on purpose. Once she was done, Nolan smiled and said,

"I kinda guessed you liked me the same. That's why I had no trouble telling you!" Melody tilted her head.

"No trouble? No trouble?! Half of your words were uh and um!" She teased. Nolan rolled his eyes.

"Yeah ok so I had a little bit of trouble." He said. Melody giggled.

"So, wanna keep exploring this new place, partner?" She asked. Nolan laughed.

"Sure thing!"
