It was a cold and merciless winter. The wind howled all night, a blizzard throwing snow against your window. You were cuddled up in your bed under layers of comfy blankets. It was a Monday, about one in the morning. You loved the relaxing weekend, but still wanted to go back to school so you could see your friends. However, there was one person you wanted to see more than anyone, and that was Nathaniel Kurtzberg. He was the artist of the class, and the boy you had a huge crush on. You snuggled into your bed covers and blushed, excited for the day ahead of you. Eventually you drifted back to sleep, listening to the sound of the wind.

Your eyes sleepily drifted open as you heard your mother calling your name.

"Y/N! Get up dear, school is closed! It's a snow day!" She shouted up the stairs.

You sat up, excited. A snow day! Maybe you could meet up with your friends at the park. You threw on some winter clothes and booked it down the stairs, almost slipping on the last step.

"Hey mom, I'm going to the park to meet with my friends!" You said as you put on your coat.

"But don't you want breakfast first?" Your mom asked you.

"I'm not hungry." You replied, slipping your hat and gloves on.

"Oh, alright then. Be safe, love you!" She said.

"Love you too!" And with that you were out the door. You pulled out your phone from your pocket and texted your friends and you walked.

You: Hey everyone! Wanna meet at the park today?

Kim: Yes! I bet I can beat you all there LOL

Alya: Marinette and I Are already there with Ivan and Mylene!

Kim: Oh. Well I'll beat the rest of you!

Nino: You bet I'll be there, Y/N! Sounds awesome!

Adrien: I'll have to ask my dad.

You: Oof. Hopefully there won't be any trouble with him.

Adrien: Yeah, we'll see.

Alix: It's totally not fair that your old man keeps you locked up all the time. Also, I'll come. Just let me eat first.

Max: There's a 76.8% chance That Adrien will be allowed to come.

Marinette: Yay!!

Rose: Juleka and I are actually on our way! Supposedly André the ice cream man is opening a hot cocoa stand today!

You: That sounds awesome! Maybe we can all get some!

Nathaniel: I'm not one for cold weather but I guess I can join you guys. I do love hot chocolate.

You: Great! I'll see you all there!

You smiled at your phone and put it back in your pocket. Looks like everyone was coming! Except maybe Adrien, but Max's calculations predicted a pretty high chance of his dad letting him leave the house. You passed by Marinette's bakery and the park came into sight. Alya, Ivan and Mylene waved at you. Marinette looked busy watching for Adrien. You giggled and waved back.

"Looks like I'm one of the first to arrive. Besides you all, of course." You said.

"Hey Y/N. Nice to see you!" Mylene replied. You gave a small smile and wave before another voice spoke.

"Ha- I knew I'd- beat everyone here..." Kim panted as he hunched over, grabbing his knees. "Oh... well... almost everyone." He said upon seeing you.

"Dress for the occasion, Kim!" Max yelled, astonished at Kim's lack of winter clothing. "It's freezing out here! You'll catch a cold if you wear your normal clothes!" Max threw a winter jacket to Kim, who caught it and reluctantly put it on.

"Hello everyone!" Rose called out cheerfully. Juleka waved slightly as the two strolled into the park.

Alix was the next one to arrive. "It really sucks how you can't skateboard in the snow. Meh, oh well." She shrugged.

"Hey Y/N." You heard a calm voice besides you. You turned to face Nathaniel. He was wrapped up in a jacket, scarf and hat.

Wow, he's actually really cute in that outfit. You thought. Ah who am I kidding, he always looks cute.

"Um.... thanks?" Nathaniel said, now blushing.

"Wait, did I say that outloud!?" You panicked. He nodded slowly. Everyone was now staring at you. Alya had a sly grin on her face. Luckily, a black limousine pulled up next to the gate.

"Adrien! You made it!" Alix called as he stepped out of the car.

"Yeah dudes, his dad let him come! I was also able to get a ride!" Nino exclaimed as he hopped out of the vehicle.

"Shall we get this party started then?" Max asked. Everyone cheered.

Kim and Alix immediately started pelting everyone with snowballs. You dove behind a tree, using it as a blockade. Marinette was right next to you, behind a bush.

"We gotta get Kim and Alix back!" You told her. She nodded with a goofy smile.

"Can you believe Adrien was let out of his house? Now I'm totally gonna try to impress him with my snowball throwing skills!" She giggled and left her cover. You just shook your head.

You made a few snowballs, then piled them up in your arms. You ran out from behind the tree to face off with Kim, who was bombarding Nino and Alya with piles of snow.

"Hey! I got something for you!" You yelled to him. Picking up and throwing snowball after snowball, you slowly got closer to Kim. He smacked a few of your ammo away, but some of them hit the target. You reached down to throw more snowballs but you felt your hand grasp for empty air.

"Uhh... hey.. we can talk about this..." You nervously backed up as Kim carried a snowball the size of a snowman's body over to where you were standing.

"Look out!" Nathaniel yelled as Kim threw the giant snowball. He dove into you, knocking you out of the way. The two of you rolled in the snow, just missing Kim's weapon of mass destruction.

"Um... hi." Nathaniel said, getting off of you and pulling you to your feet.

"You saved me!" You exclaimed over dramatically to mess with him.

"U-uh, yeah! I did!" He puffed out his chest, imitating a strong warrior.

"Ok, but that doesn't change the fact that you are both still out." Alix laughed as she chucked a snowball at both of you.

"Whoops. Guess we shouldn't have stood out in the open." Nathaniel chuckled. You blushed and hid a smile. You loved the way his face lit up.

"Hey, look everyone! André is here with his hot chocolate!" Rose cheered and pointed.

At once, you and your friends took off towards the man and his magical sweets. You all formed a line, except for Nathaniel, who was over by the bench working on a large oval shape of snow. You decided to leave your spot in line and join him.

"You alright?" You asked him. He looked up and nodded.

"Yeah, I'm good. I just figured I'd wait until everyone was done ordering to get a drink." He replied. You watched him work for a minute. He grunted as he rolled the ball of snow around some more. It looked as if it was starting to get heavy.

"What are you making? It looks too big to be a snowman." You said.

"It's actually an igloo. My dad taught me how to make them a long time ago. He said to roll large balls of snow, then dig out a hole in the middle. It always worked for him." Nathaniel explained as he began digging at the center himself. You smiled, getting onto your knees and helping him dig. After a few minutes, Adrien and Marinette came up behind you two.

"You guys ok?" Adrien asked.

"We're making an igloo." You told him.

"Nice." He said. Marinette had the widest of grins on her face.

"What about you? Are you two good?" You wondered.

"Yeah. André suggested that we get a special hot chocolate shake to share. Probably because we are such good friends!" Adrien gave us a thumbs up before sitting on the bench with Marinette.

"Seriously? He doesn't still see her as 'just a friend', does he?" Nathaniel whispered to you.

"Apparently he does. Blind boy." You giggled under your breath. The two of you worked for another minute before Nathaniel turned to you.

"I'm curious... did you really mean what you said earlier? About me being cute?" He asked, rubbing the back of his head.

"Uhh no, I think you're hot! I mean, no, it's cold out, Uhh, yes you're very cute, I- crap." You mentally face palmed.

"Ugh, why can't I have a filter on this stupid mouth!" You turned to Nathaniel, who's face was now as red as his hair.

"O-ok, well if it helps you, I think you're beautiful." He mumbled.

"What? I... you do?" You looked up hopefully. Maybe he didn't think you were a babbling idiot after all!

"Um, how about we just get hot chocolate now?" Nathaniel suggested.

"S-sounds good." You replied. You both stood up and strolled over to André's.

Nathaniel grabbed your hand as you went, sending fireworks off inside your brain. He tried to sneak a glance at his face, but he was looking away.

"Ah, two young lovebirds, seeking warmth in this freezing season! Here, have a hot chocolate to warm your heart. It's on the house!" André spoke cheerfully.

"Uh, we're not- we're not a couple." Nathaniel said.

"But you two would do so well together! Y/N L/N and Nathaniel Kurtzberg, I can see it so clearly!" André cooed. "Besides, you're holding hands like lovers do!" Nathaniel shuffled his feet but still didn't let go of your hand.

You each took your own hot chocolate and went over to the bench. You didn't speak as you sipped the warm drink. After a few moments of awkward silence, you decided it would be better to just get all your other thoughts out of your mind.

"Nathaniel, I-" He suddenly cut you off by kissing you. You could taste the chocolate on his lips. You wrapped your arms around him and pulled him closer. He separated for air.

"I've liked you for the longest time, Y/N. I never thought you liked me back... until today, that is." He told you.

"I guess we are both as blind as Adrien!" You giggled.

"What's this about me being blind?" Adrien said. He was smirking. You noticed everyone staring at you, Alya recording on her phone.

"D-don't post that!" Nathaniel panicked.

"Too late!" She laughed as she hit a few buttons.

Rose squealed. "You two are so cute together!" Nathaniel was a deep red now.

"Aww, you're such a cute tomato!" You told him, leaning your head on his shoulder. He stiffened, embarrassed by this affection in front of everyone. He then relaxed and cuddled you on the bench.

Nathaniel then turned to the group. "We're a couple now, so get used to this."
