Splashing could be heard as Gangle dove into the digital lake. Everyone was having as much fun as they could, considering they were all trapped with no exit. Kinger had somehow climbed to the very top of the slide and was just sitting there watching the others play. Zooble sat under a tree, disassociating, and Ragatha was encouraging a timid Pomni to jump into the water. It was just another day in the Amazing Digital Circus.

The purple rabbitoid walked into the scene. He was carrying a towel on his shoulder and sporting a pair of sunglasses on his head. He pushed Pomni, who had just gotten out of the lake, back in headfirst. She resurfaced and immediately let him know how she felt about that.

"#### you, Jax!" She snapped, Caine's built in swear word censor buzzing out her profanities.

"Sorry toots, you were in my way. My towel needs space too, you know." He remarked as he spread his towel down on the grass.

You watched the two bicker from behind a tree. You were nervous around Jax, partially because he enjoyed messing with you and you wanted to avoid that, but also because... Well, he was hot. He began to ascend the ladder to the top of the slide. Ragatha helped Pomni out of the water while Zooble just watched everything go down. You decided to dip into the water with the rest of the group and just stay clear of Jax's path. Unfortunately for you, he did not have the same game plan.

Jax reached the top of the slide and swung into it, sliding through and shooting out the bottom. He crashed into Gangle, his actions looking purposeful. Just like almost every day, her comedy mask broke again. She stood at the shallow end of the lake, holding the two broken pieces while staring down at them, tears forming below her eyes.

"Why, Jax? Why do you always do this?" She sniffed, looking up at him.

"It's not my fault you were right in front of the slide. Besides, Canie will fix it again at the end of the day. You're fiiinneee." He chuckled, waving his hands at her. You gulped as his glance swifted towards you. A smirk spread across his face. But he looked away, confusing you. You didn't know why he chose to leave you alone, but accepted it as a blessing.

"Y/N!" Ragatha called you and waved you over. "We're gonna have a contest to see who can swim the farthest. You should join us!"

"Well, alright. I'll be right the-" You were interrupted by Kinger falling into the water behind you. He seemed to have jumped from his spot on the top of the slide. You covered your face to avoid getting splashed.

"Oh gosh, I'm sorry about that. I didn't hurt you, did I?" He asked once he surfaced.

"No, I'm alright." You replied. "Did you come down to join our swimming contest?"

He just stared at you for a moment, not a thought behind his eyes. He then jumped up and out of the water, screaming. But you quickly found out this wasn't because of his usual nature. Something grabbed your leg and began to drag you into the deep. You panicked and splashed around, kicking your legs to try and free yourself.

"Y/N!" Both Pomni and Ragatha called after you as they noticed what was happening.

"Help! Something's got me!" You yelled back to them. Pomni began to move towards you, but stopped when she heard Zooble's voice. You couldn't make out what she said over your own frantic splashing, but she rolled her eyes and spoke up, repeating her previous sentence in a louder voice.

"That's just Jax playing a joke on you. He's done it before." She yelled to you. You looked around but didn't see Jax anywhere.

You stopped kicking and took a deep breath before letting whatever it was pull you under the water. Sure enough, you spotted a yellow gloved hand around your left leg. You and Jax made eye contact and his eyes widened. He clearly didn't expect you to stop struggling this early. But he almost immediately grinned again, still counting the prank as successful. You shot a glare at him and kicked at his hand, freeing yourself. You swam up and crawled out of the lake, Jax following closely behind you, laughing as he surfaced.

"Jax!" You scolded. "What is wrong with you!" You began to smack him with both of your hands as he continued to laugh. "I was seriously scared! Why would you do that?!" You huffed. He just chuckled and caught your wrists in his grasp. He held on for a minute and locked eyes with you.

"Because." Jax stared into your gaze, still smirking. He leaned in and whispered into your ear. "You're cute when you're flustered."

He backed up and let go of your wrist, feeling satisfied when he saw your blush covered face. He turned and walked back over to his towel, giving you a side eye on his way back that made your heart do a flip. You hated his antics and teasing, but there was something about him that just made you feel so ecstatic.

Snapping out of your trance, you noticed everyone was staring at you. Well, except Kinger. He was watching a ladybug crawl up a tree. But the others all looked confused.

"What was that about?" Ragatha asked, laughing a little bit.

"You're not falling for Jax, are you?" Zooble questioned, seeming disgusted at the thought of Jax having a fan.

"N-no! He's just... It's just his teasing that... That gets me riled up." You managed to say.

"None of us react that way when Jax messes with us." Gangle noted. Kinger wandered over and stood beside you.

"What are we talking about?" He asked.

"Y/N has a crush on Jax." Zooble deadpanned. You immediately became more jumpy and waved frantically.

"No no no I swear that's not true-" You started, but Ragatha interrupted you.

"Come on guys, leave them alone." She said with a smirk as she lead them away, back towards the lake. You mouthed a "thank you" to her as she left and she gave you a thumbs up. Kinger continued to stand next to you, watching them go.

You looked over to where the purple rabbit was sitting. He had his sunglasses on and was drinking a digital juice. He apparently noticed you watching him, because he lifted up his sunglasses and gave you a wink. You blushed and looked away.

"I don't have a crush on Jax. That would be ridiculous. Right?" You said to your friend besides you. Kinger just stared down at you for a few seconds before jumping and screaming.
