Levi Ackerman x Trans! Reader || Red String

I have a request that I'll get to eventually, I swear! Just a couple more before it. :3

Also! Just want to point out that I won't be updating often. I know I haven't had much of a steady flow on here anyway, but I just thought I'd let ya'll know. I'm tired and just don't have much time to write, really. And if I do have time, I might not have the energy. So I'm really sorry about that! Thanks for sticking with me, though. :)

Your POV
———

I've never met my soulmate.

There is this red string attached to my finger, which is apparently connected to my soulmate. Once we find each other and actually meet, then the string will disappear. Everyone calls it the "red string of fate."

It doesn't mess with anybody else, and only you can see it. Nobody else around you can see it, other than your soulmate, that is.

Anyway, I trained to join the Survey Corps. I managed to get in, passing with flying colors. Now, I'm not the bet by any means, but I'm strong enough to hold my own against most anybody. Though for some reason my fellow cadets compare me to our corporal, Levi Ackerman.

He's the strongest of us all, so I can't understand why I'm being compared to him. I've never even seen the guy before.

Alright, with that out of the way, I can turn to more important subjects of explanation.

I try not to pay much attention to the string on my finger, but sometimes I find myself staring at it. Just when I'm in my own world, basically.

I'm walking down the halls of the Survey Corps, and I'm startled by a loud voice yelling, "YN! YN! YN!"

Suddenly, as I'm turning around, someone tackles me to the floor. I let out a grunt from catching our fall, my back on the floor. I meet the eyes of my best friend, "Hanji..seriously?"

She laughs nervously and stands, helping me up. "Sorry! I was just excited to get to you!"

"Why?" I raise one eyebrow.

"Because I want to introduce you to—"

"—YN!" My wrist is then grabbed, and I'm pulled into the cafeteria before I could hear the rest of what Hanji was telling me.

When we stop, I rip my hand out of their grip with a slight glare. "Jean, what? What is so damn important that you had to literally drag me away from a conversation?"

Little did I know that Hanji and the corporal himself were standing in the doorway, watching the scene go down.

Jean shrugged, "Nothing really. Just felt like it."

I scoff, then by my shoulder against his as I passed. Hard. "You're an asshole and a horseface, Jean."

Jean rubbed his shoulder, wincing. "Ouch."

I sat down beside Eren with a sigh. He greets me with a smile, and I give him a small grin. I say hello to him and the others, Jean plopping down on the other side of me.

I smirk and shove him off of the seat, and he falls to the floor with a thud. I snicker along with the rest of the table as Jean gets up, brushing himself off as he sits back down beside me. "Real classy, YN."

"I ain't trying to be classy, just tryna teach you a lesson," I retort casually, and he slaps my shoulder. "That all you got, man? Damn, that was weak."

Jean sneers, "I can hit a lot harder."

"Then why don't you prove it to me, ey?"

"Fine, I will. Meet me outside after this meal to spar."

"Alright."

I felt eyes on me for the rest of the meal, and every time I looked around me, the stare would be gone. I couldn't find out who it was, but that was the least of my problems.

I finish early and stand, grabbing my tray and dumping the rest of its contents into the bin. I then return the tray and head out front. Whilst waiting for Jean, I stretch a little to prepare myself then start fighting the air.

Sounds weird, but I'm basically just sparring by myself. Acting as if I'm actually fighting against someone else.

I can feel that stare again, but I block it out. As time goes on, more people start to exit the building and Jean meets up with me. I stop sparring and catch my breath, a crowd slowly forming around us.

Word must've spread fairly quickly, then.

Jean stretches a bit before cracking his neck and facing me, as if he actually believes he stands a chance against me. "Ready?"

"I'm always ready." I respond, and let him attack me first.

I step to the side effortlessly and trip him as he's trying to punch me. I bend backwards a bit to dodge the punch. Jean falls an I pin him.

We continue to fight, each of us getting hits in, before I manage to fully pin him to the ground so he can't move. I smirk, looking at him dangerously as I state cooly, "Game over."

I then stand, leaving him in shock from my tone and at how fast he was beaten. Though it shouldn't have been a surprise, apparently it was.

I lend a hand to Jean, and he takes it, so I help him up. I nudge him before walking away, the crowd parting for me. "Nice try, Jean, but you'll never beat me."

As I'm heading back inside, I wipe away a drip of blood from the corner of my mouth just as I'm stopped by some short, yet handsome, guy. "What is your name, cadet?"

I blink, then give a small smile. Nerves build up in me as I realize that this is the corporal, but I ignore them. I salute and say confidently, "My name is YN LN, sir."

He hums in response, then adds, "That was rathe impressive back there, Cadet LN. I would like to spar you sometime."

Before he can leave, I blurt out without thinking, "Wait!"

He pauses then turns to face me, his expression cold. But I can see in his eyes that he's not upset with me. I continue, "Sir, I apologize but what is your name?"

He looks a little surprised, but answers me anyway before leaving. "Levi Ackerman."

I then notice the red string, and it disappears with a sparkling burst of red. Levi stops then faces me again, this time showing his shock. We stare at each other for a few moments before he walks back up to me.

I clear my throat nervously, but he just grabs my hand and collar. In one swift movement, he plants his lips on mine, despite us just meeting now.

I've been in the corps for a while now, and I have actually seen him around and I'll admit, I had a crush on him for a long time. I just never pieced together that he would be my soulmate, and I never looking at the string long enough to know it was him all along.

I kiss him back, gently holding onto him too.

It feels so natural, and I love it.

I found my soulmate.
