Princess Allura was throwing a dance party for the Paladins since they had saved the world..no, universe.

{AN: Now, I don't know if they actually saved the universe, so sorry if they didn't! I'm pretty sure they did from other fanfics though. Whatever. :3}

Everyone was excited. Well, all but one certain black haired man who is the Red Paladin. Yep, that's right, Keith.

Now, don't get me wrong, he was happy and excited about this party, but there is one problem...

Keith doesn't know how to dance.

He knows for a fact that Allura is busy setting up the party with Coran, Hunk, and Pidge. Keith doesn't know where Shiro is at the moment, so that only leaves one person left...

..Lance..

Oh, how he both hated and loved Lance.

He hated how Lance would flirt with every single girl he meets, yet, he loved his flirty side all the same.

Keith had noticed he had toned down the flirting with other girls quite a bit, if not completely, and he has no idea as to why.

Lance has been flirting more towards Keith instead, and you guessed it, Keith is still confused.

Does Lance like him back?

Did he find out about his little crush on him and decided to tease him about it?
No, he wouldn't stoop that low, even if he is Lance.

Lance: Nah, it's fine!~
AN: I thought I'd add in these little talk AN scenes, do you guys like them? :3}

Just thinking about Lance and his actions makes Keith blush a bright red, just like his lion.

Keith walks around the ship, making up his mind.

He was going to find Lance and ask him to teach him to dance.

Sure, he might get teased about not being able to dance, but he doesn't care right now.

He needs to see Lance before the party.

Keith is staring at the floor as he walked while thinking, resulting in him bumping into something, or rather, someone.

"Oof!" Keith and the other person grunted, falling to the floor.

This person and Keith both look up at the same time and meet each others' eyes, their eyes widening and blushes deepening.

The person Keith had crashed into was...

...the one and only...

..Lance McClain..

"Oh! S-Sorry there, Keith! Are you o-okay?" Lance stuttered, standing up quickly, holding his hand out to Keith.

Keith took his hand and Lance helped him stand up. They brushed away any dirt that had gotten onto their clothes.

Lance's words took Keith by surprise. Did Lance just..stutter? That's not like him.

He nodded and replied, "Y-Yeah, I'm fine. Y-You?"

Did he just stutter too?

Lance nods as well, smiling like his usual self, which made Keith even more flustered, but he hid it well and acted like himself too.

"Yep! Heh, I'm good! I was just lookin' for ya, Mullet!" Lance exclaimed happily, and Keith looked at him questionably and shocked.

"You were?" He asked.

"Yes, I was!" Lance answered.

"Well, I was looking for you too, Sharpshooter." Keith stated, and Lance had a look of shock written on his expression before it quickly changed into a smile.

A smile that could make Keith melt.

"Alright, well then Keith! You can go first!" Lance proclaimed.

"You sure?"

"Positive, Mullet."

"Teach me to dance.." Keith muttered, and Lance looked confused.

"Sorry, what? I didn't quite catch that, Keith."

Keith took a deep breath and said it again, this time louder for him to hear.

"Teach me to dance.."

"You want me to teach you how to dance? Why, Keith, I'm honored!" Lance yelled excitedly.

"Shhh!" Keith slapped his hand over Lance's mouth, "I don't want any one else knowing that I can't dance."

Lance nodded and Keith removed his hand.

"Right then, Can't Dance Mullet! Let's go! And besides, I was gonna ask if you needed help with dancing anyways." Lance says calmly, a teasing smirk playing on his lips as he skipped off in the same direction he came.

Annndd there it is.

Lance's teasing.

Keith rolled his eyes and caught up to Lance, who waited for him, and they walked at the same pace.

"Really? That's the best you could come up with? 'Can't Dance Mullet'?" Keith deadpanned, and Lance gasped dramatically.

{AN: Sorry, there will be a lot of Keith this and Lance that everywhere. Sorry about the repetition, but I have to do it that way to make it less confusing for you all.}

"How dare you!~ My comebacks are boss mode!~" Lance declares, slapping a dramatic hand to his chest as he muttered under his breath, "Plus I couldn't think of anything in such a short amount of time with that topic."

Lance thought Keith hadn't heard what he had mumbled, but he had heard it loud and clear.

Hey, you have a crush, you listen to every word they say, and just in general for anyone!

Keith snickered, and Lance flushed red, realizing Keith had heard every word he said.

"Whatever, Lance." Keith replied smugly, making Lance blush harder.

Lance loves it when Keith acts like this, or any way in general. He loves it when Keith's happy, even if just a bit. Lance also thinks it's cute when Keith is mad, but he doesn't like to see him that way, only if it's just for teasing reasons, as usual. The same thing goes to Keith for Lance.

They walked in comfortable silence until it was broken by Lance, not that either of them minded, really.

"So, what type of dance do you wanna learn, Keith?" Lance asked, glancing at his crush, the Red Paladin.

Keith looked up in thought as he brought his hand up to his chin, as if thinking. Lance thought that this was adorable.

"Hmm, I was thinking something upbeat, but calm. Something that isn't sad, but more meaningful in feelings, or something like that." Keith explained, and Lance knew what song they should dance to for his first lesson with Keith.

'War Of Hearts' by Ruelle.

It's calm, but upbeat, like Keith had described. It's not very sad, and it is very meaningful with emotions in the lyrics. It was the perfect song. Correction, it is the perfect song.

Lance also thought that Keith should learn how to slow dance as well as more fast movements for this song. There will be a different song that they will dance to for the slow song, obviously.

Maybe the song 'Please Don't Go' by Joel Adams? Yeah, that'll do.

"I've got just the song!" Lance announced after a few minutes in thought.

As they walked to Lance's room, he explained to Keith what he was going to teach him, but not saying the songs they are gonna practice with.

Lance knew that both 'War Of Hearts' and 'Please Don't Go' will be playing at the party since they are very good songs and everyone there loves them.

They walked into Lance's room after Lance had unlocked it with his hand print scan, and he began setting up the songs while Keith sat on his bed, waiting.

"You ready?" Lance questioned Keith, who nodded and stood up, facing Lance.

"As I'll ever be." Keith responded, trying to sound confident, when clearly, he was quite nervous.

Lance took notice of Keith's nervousness and set his hand his Keith's shoulder comfortingly, and Keith sent him a small smile that makes Lance wanna scream about how cute that is.

"Then, let's begin." Lance stated, and the music started playing as they got into position.

"Just, go with the flow, Keith. Have fun!" Lance exclaimed, starting to dance while Keith just stood there.

"I'll show ya!" Lance said, helping Keith with his dancing.

Soon enough, they were just having fun. This was a warm up song.

*TIMESKIP*
~After Learning The Basics~

They both stopped, panting and laughing all the while trying to catch their breaths.

Keith learned the basics of dancing easily.

They even coordinated a dance for 'War Of Hearts,' but Keith doesn't know what song they learned the dance for.

Keith smiled brightly at Lance, who returned the gesture.

"Wow, this really is fun, Lance!" Keith stated happily, and Lance chuckled, earning both a chuckle and a blush from Keith.

"I knew you'd like it! Now, let's do our routine for the next song, okay?" Lance suggested, and Keith nodded.

They had already caught their breaths.

As the music started playing, both Paladins got into position.

Keith and Lance moved smoothly with one another, spinning, sliding, everything. They worked perfectly with one another. As if it was meant to be.

All they thought about was each other during the dance, just letting their bodies guide them along. Smiling, glancing at each other lovingly while the other isn't. Just having fun and letting loose.

They caught each other's gaze while meeting in the middle, starting the movements together for the loving part. Lance thought of that one, of course.

Their dance lasts for the entire song, so they're gonna make it last as long as possible, until the very end.

If Lance had lost Keith, he would be gone. And if Keith lost Lance, he would be the same way.

They love each other too much to let them go.

If they had to, they would wait until the end of time for the other. Their love is too strong to give up on.

Both Paladins want to say their feelings so badly that they feel like they might explode if they don't soon. They want to feel each other's kiss, see how their hands feel when you hold them tight as if they would disappear if you let go, everything. They know exactly what they want...

As the song came to an end, Keith and Lance stood still, facing one another, hands together with their fingers intertwined up to their chests with their arms pressed gently together, barely any space in between them. They could feel the others breath on their faces, but they don't mind.

They stare into each others' eyes as the next song starts playing...

Keith makes a bold move and starts to lean in towards Lance, and to his surprise, Lance leans back.

Their eyes flutter shut and their lips collide in a matter of seconds. In the background, they hear one lyric that stood out to them the most..

Now please don't go

At hearing these lyrics, they kissed a little harder, showing their partner that they didn't want the other to leave.

They undo their hands and Lance wraps his arms around Keith's waist and holding onto his middle back, while Keith brings his hands up and wraps his arms around Lance's shoulders, them both deepening the kiss further, if possible.

And to think, all it took to lead to this was four simple, little words...

'Teach Me To Dance..'
