it was a normal day at the guild and lucy was staying very distane from natsu which he found it weird and she was also carrying papers around her and whispering something in there ear but he never got a paper and never found one on the floor he knew it was his birthday but never told anyone but master so he was sad that lucy was doing that and he wanted to spend time with her today so when she was done and she had no more papers she went up to him and said "natsu" he only made a grunt and she sighed and said "the reason why you did not get a paper because i was going to spend the day with you and go to the guild when it was time i gave the paper to everyone else because i knew they will forget and i know you wont because i am with so do you feel better" he looked at her and nodded and said "why were you whispering in there ear" she smirked evilly and said "i was threatening them to make sure they came to the guild on time" he nodded again and said "were are we going to hang out" she smiled softy and said "anywhere you want its my treat" he looked at her confused and said "but you always pay" she sighed and grabbed his hand and started to walk out the guild then you can hear mira yelling "YOU HEARD HER THREATS SO GET YOUR BUTTS MOVING" natsu shuttered and lucy squeezed his hand and smiled at him and he went to all the places he wanted to go and he showed lucy lots of things she never saw before which she was happy and when she is happy then natsu's happy lucy saw that they only had an hour before she and natsu can go to the guild she looked at him and smiled because he was happy master told her that every birthday he had he was always sad. he never fought on that day never messed with erza really did nothing but sit in a corner in the guild until he met lucy on his birthday he was smiling and laughing because of lucy that's why on his 20th birthday master told lucy that his birthday was coming up and she was so excited to plan a party for him and spend the day with him when the guild is getting ready for the party. when they were just walking anywhere she saw a sweets shop and pointed it out to natsu he nodded and went inside when they were ordering lucy saw natsu looking at a birthday cake and she pulled out her phone and texted erza to get a fire cake for him when they leave she replied with a thumbs up and lucy ordered for him "is it possable to get a slice of fire cake" natsu was about to stop her but she already paid for her and hid cake he looked at her shocked and said "luce you didn't have to" she smiled and said "i know but i wanted to" he smiled a big smile and said "thanks and how did you know i wanted one" she smiled "because i know you natsu and i also saw you looking at the cake" he nodded and started to eat and so did lucy  when they finished they had about 20 minutes left so lucy went to a dress store and bought a simple black dress that stops at her mid thighs and has long sleves that ties up with small black heels then she bought natsu a simple black shirt with jeans with black adidas with red strips on them. lucy smiled and bought the outfit and natsu is wondering if she knew what today is but she shook it off and they ran to the guild because they were 5 minutes late she kick the doors open and it was dark on the inside and natsu was about to light up his hand until the lights turned on and everyone said "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" he jumped up and go into a fighting stance then he looked around and saw everyone in the guild. he was shocked because 1.he never told anyone his birthday. 2. everyone knows about it. he looked at lucy and she said "natsu i know your worried but master saw a diffrence when this day comes when i was around so he told me that your birthday was coming up and that is why i was passing papers around to tell people in the guild but the threats were real" he looked around and he started to tear up and smiled and said "thanks everyone" they smiled and started to party while lucy kissed his cheek and smiled while blushing he smiled and hugged her and said "thanks luce" she giggled and said "no problem but look at the cake" he turned around and saw the cake on fire. his eyes sparked and turned back around and kissed her on the lips and said "your the best lucy and you know you mean so much to me" she giggled " i know so lets go in joy your birthday natsu" he smiled and and nodded and natsu lucy and everyone in the guild had a good time on natsu's birthday
