(Jeremy's POV)

I swim around the small tank again and again and again. 

There's nothing interesting and everything's the same as always. The same fish, the same coral, the same seaweed. Everything's just the same. I just want to explore the open sea and finally be free. 

And of course, there's the people everyday. Passing me, sometimes staring at me for a bit, but always moving on. Not once has anyone tried to talk to me let alone help me. 

"So, you're stuck here too?"

"What?" 

I look to find a boy in a red hoodie with some kind of drink in his hand. He's....talking to me?

"Umm..... what do you mean? You're free, able to walk around, socialize, be able to go where ever you please. Unlike me, stuck in this tank forever till I die." I tell him. He's cute, but he doesn't understand what I'm going through.

 "No, I'm stuck in one place. Just like you." 

Then I hear the automatic voice that says the same thing every single fucking day. 

"In 5 minutes the Aquarium will be closing." 

"Well, better be heading out." He starts to walk away from me. 

"Wait! Don't leave me!" I say. Why did I say that? Maybe it's because I haven't had anybody really talk to me ever. 

"Well, I could sneak in here later if you want." 

"Okay. That's fine"

"See you in a bit."

As I see him walk away I feel my face heat up. What is this emotion? I don't really know, but I kinda like it. 

~Time Skip bc I'm a fooking lazy bitch~

I see him near my tank, but he's looking for something? 

"What are you looking for?" 

"A way to get to the top of your tank. Have you seen a corridor or something?"

"Yes, take that door, then take a left and then go up some stairs." I say pointing to a door.

It takes a little bit for him to find my tank again, so I swim up to the top of my tank and he's there waiting for me. 

"Have a nice swim?" He said, sitting down at the edge of my tank.

"Ha ha, very funny." I say sarcastically. 

"Well, is there anything you want to talk about or do?"

"What do you mean?"

"You asked me to come and stay with you, so what do you want to do?" 

"Now that I think about it we never properly introduced ourselves. I'm Jeremy." 

"I'm Michael. What do you like?" 

"Well, I've never had any real experiences in my life. This place is all I've ever known. I've never even known my parents. I was told I'm the last of my kind, that's why I'm heere, but I never understood why I was kept like this to only be stared at?"

"Wow. That's heavy. I was once in a lab being tested because of these." 

Before I knew it he took off his hoodie and his shirt to reveal that he had blue and green lines all over his chest. They kind of looked like the lines I've seen in my dreams when I'm actually able to sleep. I always thought they we're all the different people's lives that I could never reach because I'm so different.

"Every time someone gets hurt a specific one hurts. I've been told that I can feel certain people's pain. I can even feel there emotions when I'm close enough to that person. I've never felt pain from this one though." 

He points at a line that's the color same color of my tail. A very different shade of turquoise. It's the only one of it's kind. 

"And I can feel how confused you are right know." 

"So, can you feel my......" I feel my face heat up and I don't know why.

"Yeah. And I kind of feel the same."

I don't know why but I quickly lifted myself and kissed him. It just felt right after a minute or so I felt him kiss back. As he pulled back I fell back into my tank. I swam back to the bottom of the tank, but halfway I felt an arm pull me back up. 

He was holding my arm and as soon as we got to the top he asked me,"Why did you swim down?"

"I was afraid you would reject me." 

"How could I reject such a beautiful creature like you?"

I blushed and just kissed him again and this time when we pulled away I didn't swim down.
