Hetalia OC But Not: Itza-chu
There is admittedly no set story or storyline quite yet (as we're still developing everything) but it is set in modern day times. Thus far we will have a series of short stories about the lives of Itza-chu, his two younger sisters, and his two best friends. The majority of these stories take place in Arizona on an Apache Tribe reservation at the home of Itza-chu and his sisters.
Name: Itza-chu Graystone
(Itza-chu means "Great Hawk")
Age: 19
Gender: male
Sexuality: demiromantic heterosexual
Nationality: American
Ethnicity: Native American; Apache
Appearance: Standing at about 5'6" with a naturally lean, yet athletic, build and naturally tanned skin turned a few shades darker by the sun Itza-chu has a slightly ordinary appearance. He has long charcoal black hair that he keeps free flowing and cut to about mid-back, with bangs slightly shorter than the rest and framing his face. His eyes are a dark beaver-fur brown and he can most commonly be seen with a frown or scowl upon his face.
Clothing wise he keeps it simple, sporting a pair of dulled and faded blue jeans that have holes worn out in the knees and are a bit tattered at the bottom of each pants leg. A black short-sleeved T-shirt is his go-to when not wearing an old Apache war-shirt (made of buckskin) given to him by his grandmother that is a faded yellow-brown tan with a few sections of missing beads that decorate the top of the shoulders and around the neckline. Notably it has long fringes along the side of the arms and around the bottom of the shirt. Itzli-chu almost always can be seen wearing dark brown, worn out, hiking boots and when not wearing those is either barefoot or in socks. Completing his attire is a thin, light grey bandana wrapped around his head and tied slightly to the left at the back.
Personality: Skeptical, short-tempered, and somewhat impulsive Itza-chu, though by no means a recluse, would rather spend time with his nose in a history book than mingle with others. However, he is quite social to those who can overlook his cantankerous ways, which seem to be only a source of amusement to his two younger sisters much to his annoyance. He tries to put up a tough front though it usually fails. Especially by his habit of storming out when angry only to storm back in if his bluff is called just to prove someone otherwise. He is well aware of his temper and detests how easily he lets himself get angry and is trying to work on ways to calm himself, with his friends and younger sisters helping he feels he's sure to succeed (eventually). (His exact words on his temper were that "[he] hate[s] it so much [he] just want[s] to pound it into dust.") It is what leads him to get into many a fight.
On the flip side, however, he has proven himself to be very studious, loyal, and defensive of others. His priorities lie in caring for his siblings, having regular meetings with his friends, and studying as much Apache history and culture as he can possibly get his hands on.
He often worries and fusses over his sisters especially since their father took on a job where he is now away from home far more than not and it's up to Itza-chu to take care of things around the house. His youngest sister often wanders, something that causes him great concern over seeing as they live near a forest and she has been known to wander off and get lost without anyone there with her. This leads him to try to monitor her whereabouts at all times when possible, something that he's aware sometimes annoys her though truly he's just concerned for her safety. (Something that, when threatened, also leads him to stand up and confront whatever dares try to hurt her, or his other younger sister (the middle child) for that matter, with no hesitation and without backing down).
Likes: learning about history, visiting museums and his elders, spicy foods (specifically pickled jalepeño peppers and the occasional Habanero), and collecting old relics from the past.
Dislikes: high pitched sounds, anyone touching his "museum" (as he calls it), sweet foods (with the sole exception of caramel), drinking from cans, and huge crowds (unless for ceremonial purposes).
Relations:
Mother (whereabouts unknown)
Father (thus far nameless)
Grandmother (thus far nameless)
Grandfather (deceased)
______ (younger sister)
_____ (youngest sister)
Kanuna (best friend)
Chogan (best friend)
Martín (cousin)
Background: (sorry I don't have terribly too much to tell here yet). He grew up on the reservation with both parents and his grandmother. (His grandfather had died before Itza-chu was born). Four years later his younger sister was born then his youngest sister nine years after that. Not long after his youngest sister was born their mother left and never came back. It is unknown if she just up and left or if something happened to her. She loved her family and was always kind to them so they couldn't fathom why she would leave. Whatever the case, though they searched, she was never found.
When Itza-chu was sixteen their grandmother was placed in a nursing home and their father took on a job that required him to be gone from home often. So to help out Itza-chu would take up odd jobs to help support him and his sisters, who would stay with a family friend while he did so. It was around this time that he happened upon who would become his two best friends. They met at a meeting between tribes and decided to continue to keep in touch over the distances between them (as Itza-chu lived in Arizona, Chogan lived in Montana, and Kanuna lived in Oklahoma). Over the next few years they would visit each other as many chances as they got and grew to become great friends with one another.
Itza-chu still lives with his siblings and their father will drop by for a week or so before going back to his job and repeating the cycle. Chogan and Kanuna opted for them all to go to Itza-chu's house more than their own due to him not wanting to leave his siblings for so long and not having a way to take them with him if he went to either Kanuna or Chogan's home. When not visiting the three friends write letters to each other, something that's now become a favorite pastime of theirs.
Other: he often goes out into the woods behind his backyard and digs around, this is where he finds quite a few of his collection of old arrowheads, spears, tomahawks, pottery, etc.
He keeps his findings of old relics in a makeshift container of sorts. He rebuilt his closet so that the inside has shelves and sliding glass in which he stores the old pottery, jewelry, weapons, etc. that he finds.
Though he has had no formal training whatsoever he has become adept at fighting and isn't above hitting below the belt if necessary.
