SPECIES: dragon (specifically: Vulcarys)

PERSONALITY: inquisitive, adventurous, and energetic Crow is forever trying learn more about the world around him. This doubled with his love of climbing anything he can sink his claws into that will hold his weight and his rider may find him in many strange places. By nature he will form a close bond with his caretaker and will be fiercely protective of them. Willing to go as far as going head-to-head with dragons larger than himself if it means protecting his companion. Although not easily angered, and quite docile most of the time, Crow has a territorial streak a mile wide and whatever he claims as his will not be easily given up. He has a tendency to hiss in displeasure at whatever he doesn't like and likewise purr in delight at what he does. He may be an infant right now but just wait until he has broadened his vocabulary and you will have a talkative little dragon on your hands.

APPEARANCE: sleek and somewhat stocky with paws obviously made for gripping, Crow is a climber by nature. His oval-shaped scales are all a dark charcoal black with his underbelly, front of his neck, and bottom of his tail being a shade lighter (about light soot black). His long serpentine tail sports sail-webbing along each side with the ends coming to points stretching just farther than his tail tip. The small spikes along his jaw may be used for grooming though the smooth horns atop his head are obviously not. Bat-like wings stretch out on either side of him each nearly as long as his whole body length, when it in use he keeps them firmly pressed against his sides. His bright dusk-orange eyes are ever wondering and always lancing about his new surroundings with awe.
Crow as an infant appears no bigger than a small housecat. Though when he reaches adult size he will stand as tall as a horse, become roughly thirty-seven feet long, sport a wingspan of about forty-three feet, and has the possibility of weighing as much a single ton.

STRENGTHS: climbing, running short distances swiftly, a fast learner in the way of speech

WEAKNESSES: tires easily, prone to 'flight' rather than 'fight', hesitant and not very good with his breath weapon, can't see well in sunlight

LIKES: warm places, naps, catching birds, being petting along his spine

DISLIKES: loud noises, cold environments, bright light, fruits

PREFERRED WEAPON: claws

OTHER: As he is crepuscular he has a tendency to keep his caretaker awake later than they might want to be as well as wake them up much earlier than they'd like. Although he loves the accomplishment of catching a bird his favorite food is actually fish.
Seeing as his species comes from near volcanoes he must be kept in warm environments, never cold.
