Personality:
Having served the Royal Guard for several decades Ares is very serious about his work and nothing but his work. You'd think the guy had no emotions at all since he never bothered to show them. Unless you were in the Guard in which case you would witness firsthand his anger but that was pretty much it. He's very respectful towards the royal family because he's served them for so long.

Backstory:
Ares' entire family served in the guard and every one of them died in battle. Ares was the only one who survived because of his father sacrificing his life for him. Now that war is over there's not too much battling going on so Ares spends most of his time making sure the King is safe. He has no children that will one day take his place because he never stopped to worry about any of that. He's never been interested in worrying about any of that. Of course he was a male and he did have needs but he put those aside when he took on the duty of guarding over the King.
