Past: His mother, his father ran away when he was born, had bad injures/problems to where she needed to be taken of. So, Derek, developed taking a lot of responsibility. He didn't really have any tragic past, but he loved taking photos at parties. Even though he wasn't popular in school, he is pretty extroverted.
