It was a quiet & peaceful day in the kingdom of Ninjago. Prince Lloyd was out in the Garden with Queen Misako having a picnic while King Garmadon was off doing his kingly duties.

"Mom, what is dad doing?" Lloyd asked as he sipped his tea.

"He's getting more knights since we have been getting threats by other kingdoms for war" Misako replied while taking a bite of some cake.

"Oh," the prince said as he set the cup down. "I dont have to get married in order to make a peace treaty will I?" he asked frowning. He was a little shy to admit that he's gay to his mother,even though she figured it our already.

"Of course not, you can get married whenever you like." the queen said with a smile. The prince smiled before King Garmadon walks over.

"Go on & get ready you 2,we're having a ball to celebrate the new knights" the king said. Prince Lloyd smiled & rushed to get ready. He had always snuck off to watch all the men who were in training to become knights & he was hoping one in particular was one of the knights now. Lloyd had a huge crush on Kai since he first saw him training. He rushed to get ready before going to the grand hall for the ball. He took over getting the area ready so his father could get ready. An hour later,the ball begins. Prince Lloyd waited patiently for his father to announce the arrival of the knights.

"May I have everyone's attention!" King Garmadon states."Please welcome,our new knights!" he said. Lloyd clapped with everyone as he watched the knights walk in. Alas,his excitement dies down when he doesn't see Kai at all. He frowned before he saw his father stand & look at Lloyd.

"Come here" he whispered. Lloyd walked over & stood next to his father.

"Whats up?"Lloyd whispered before smiling at everyone.

"Before this ball can officially begin, I must announce the arrival of Prince Lloyd's personal knight! He shall be protecting you at all times from now on Prince Lloyd." Garmadon said smiling. Lloyd looked confused since he had trained to protect himself,little does he know that Queen Misako told King Garmadon that Lloyd was gay. She was able to figure out that he liked Kai when she caught him staring at the knights in training.

"Everyone,please stand & welcome Sir Kai! Prince Lloyd's Personal Knight!" the king stated. Lloyd blushed & smiled more as he tried to hide his excitement. He watched as Kai came in & went straight to Lloyd.

"I'm happy to be your personal knight,Prince Lloyd" Kai said as he bowed then kissed Lloyd's hand. Lloyd blushed as the crowd cheered.

"The ball may begin!" The king said as everyone chatted & danced around.

"Anyone you want to dance with?" Kai asked Lloyd as he saw a small group of princesse giggling & waving to Lloyd. Lloyd gave a slight wave as he looked at Kai.

"Not really."he lied as he went to sit down. Kai took the moment to grab Lloyd's waist & pulled him close.

"Don't lie"Kai said as he began to dance with Lloyd. He had actually went to train as a knight just so he could be with the prince, he has had a crush on the prince for years. Lloyd blushed as he danced with Kai as Kai smiled. The king & queen happily watched them, as did the crowd. The princesses were jealous,but still found the scene before them cute.

"S-sir Kai" Lloyd stated which made Kai chuckle.

"Please,just call me Kai"Kai said with a smile as they continued to dance.

"K-Kai... I love you!"the prince stated loud enough for everyone to hear. Everyone gasped but the music kept going.

"I love you too! Thats why I became a knight" Kai stated before the dance was over. The 2 stared deeply into each others eyes before sharing a deep kiss. Everyone awed at the cute moment before the 2 pulled apart.

"So,you wanna get married?" Kai asked making Lloyd blush. "I know you have been watching me while I trained silly. Ive known the whole time."

"Y-you did?!?!" the prince stated as he was embarrassed. Kai chuckled & hugged him.

"Yes,now where's my answer?" he chuckled again.

"I would love to marry you!" Lloyd said before they kissed again. Kai smiled & pulled him close. 3 weeks after the knights ball,Kai & Lloyd got married & were honeymooning in the countryside.
