Quick Update
OKAY
SO--
It's been a year and some odd since I updated this. I don't have the faintest idea on if anyone even reads this
Imma update it anyways, but Imma update everything in THIS little section right here, in order of major events. Last update was May 2019 apparently so since then--
- I got a goat in August 2019. Named him Steve. He was THE nicest pet ever. 100% mine. First ever pet I had that was 100% mine. This sparked my new obsession of some sorts with goats. I love 'em. Stevie was my baby and he was about 3-5 months old when I got him. [P.S; he grew to be ~200lbs and had horns the length of my forearm that were still growing. I didn't know goats got that big, cuz I'd only ever seen the pygmies at the petting zoo]
- k this also sparked my mom's obsession with goats?? So her birthday is May 13 and Mother's day is around there. So, for those two events, I got her two goats, too. Dash and Lucky. Lucky is Stevie's half brother.
- However, come late November poor little Dash got deathly ill and try and fight as we did, a month of intense round the clock care and I found Dash had passed. On Christmas. So that fucking sucked.
- Uh, what the hell else. 2020 happened. Still was working thru that whole ordeal. Nothing else really happened that I can remember??
- 2021. March I got another part time factory job. Loved it [It's September now and I've since left that one but we'll get to that]
- May my cousin got married and I got so wasted that I can't really remember most of that day
- JUNE. Okay, so June sucked but didn't, I guess?? I still cry a lot but okay here it goes; June 12th-- I GOT ENGAGED YEET YEET MFs! So fuggin' happy I loved it and I love this man like I stg-- three years together in October.
- June 15th. Tuesday; I had to put Stevie down. It's September and I still bawl my eyes out sometimes. That was my baby. My 6ft tall [when on his hind legs] 200lbs BABY and the week before hand he'd been limping and we went on vacation [and got engaged] and like turns out poor little Stevie had a broken fucking leg but we thought it was just joint issues because he had this stupid degenerate arthritis called CAE -- Caprine Arthritis Encephalitis -- and it just gnawed away at his bones I guess. So that hurt. A lot.
- June 16th - 18th. Wednesday - Friday; I'm bawling every two seconds. Not having a good time. Steve's little brother Lucky is now an only child and he's not having a good time, either. Goats are herd animals. They're stressed if they're alone. SO I had to put my own feelings aside to take care of Lil' Lucky because I owed it to Steve to keep his baby brother happy, healthy and safe. Which meant I had to go get more goats. For the sake of Lucky. I hated the idea but I needed to.
- June 19th. Saturday; Fiance drives me three and a half hours one way without question or hesitation or complaint to go get me two goats I'd found from a nice man on Craigslist. They're "Kiko" goats. Gonna get about 300lbs each. Named them Agent Whiskey and Captain. They're at most 7 months old now and they're bigger than Lucky, who is roughly a year and a half. I like my big, empty-headed animals in case you guys are finding a pattern.
- Somewhere in here we here at my house picked up two more stray cats, however I'd found one in May on the road so, like... eehh
- August like 25th I got two baby cows. Bottle babies. It's been a ride. Still have 'em but damn they're whiny little a-holes
- Uh started school again? Hence the lack of second job because-- like okay well job 1 I picked up more hours [6 a day now instead of 4] and then the 2nd job wanted a minimum of 20 a week. I literally can't work 30 a week one place, 20 a week the other place, do my homework, feed my animals, feed myself and talk to my family so well... y'know
- Last week Friday, like the 17th or somethin like we went and got more goats from a coworker. They're pygmy mixes. Max of like 40lbs.
- Got obsessed with about 8578326579 different things since 2019 too.
Not sure what else is going on but mainly those things. Obsessed with goats. I really fuckin' miss Steve. Him and Dash's ashes are in their respective boxes in my goat supply toolbox in the barn. Every time I accidentally open that drawer it's almost immediate tears. Dash was only seven freaking months old--
I dunno. I'm a hot mess. Thanks for reading, I s'pose :p
