A/N: Alright, so... my iPod's screen is, like, shattered and I'm emotionally traumatized now and forever and so my soul is even more dead than before and.... I've lost like all motivation for writing
But to let yous know I'm still living Imma post this here write now:
.
"--find out who they were?" Joel muttered.
"They were a couple-a nobodies--they don't matter" Tess told him, her voice getting angrier, "What matters is that Robert fucking sent them."
Me and Keesha glanced at each other, "Not just sent them. 'Fucking' sent them," we chuckled quietly.
Jayden poked her head around the doorway, just a little bit, "Our Robert?"
"What other Robert do you know?" I asked, poking my head out the door too, "Like, really, Jayden, you don't get out too much."
She gave me a dirty look and Tess shook her head, "He knows we're after him. He figures he's going to get us first."
"'s that why he tried to get his goons to murder your bitch-ass?" Keesha walked back into the main room, intruding on Tess and Joel.
Joel tossed the cloth Tess had in her hand on the counter. He must have taken it from her after he kicked us out, "That sunovabitch. He's smart."
"No," Tess pointed out, getting a little too close for comfort by Joel, "He's not smart enough. I know where he's hiding."
"Like hell you do," Joel, Jayden, Keesha and I all chorused. It was strange how in-sync we could be at times.
"Old warehouse in Area 5--can't say for how long, though," both Tess's voice and posture took on a layer of smugness.
"Well, I'm ready now. Yeah?" Joel began towards the door.
"Oh, I can do now," Tess agreed lowly. This was one of the few times she acknowledged me, Jayden and Keesha with a positive look, "You guys?"
Jayden nodded, "Now is good," she went towards the door, glancing over her shoulder, "Keesh? El?"
"Oh, now is perfect," our voices sound weird combined. Like, scary weird.
Joel and Tess led the way outside and Joel even stopped to hold the door open for the rest of us, "Checkpoint's still open."
"Only got a few hours left 'till curfew," I muttered, patting Joel's cheek as I walked out the door.
Joel leaned his head back, away from my hand but I did see a hint of a smile ghost his lips and a snort of a laugh. Jayden shoved me forward, "Quit flirting. We need to hurry up if there's only a few hours left."
"I'm not flirting," I snapped, walking further out into the street.
A crackling loudspeaker voice jumped into my ears, "Attention. Citizens are required to carry a current ID at all times. Compliance with all city personnel is mandatory."
"That's not happening," Keesha appeared at my side once again, "If city personnel doesn't deserve my compliance then they'll be getting my anger instead." She adjusted her cut off jacket for emphasis.
"Look at that," Tess kept her voice low, but I could still hear her talking to Joel. She nodded towards the ration line where three people were getting arrested by city personnel, "Ration line hasn't opened yet. Must be running low again."
A/N: Heh... so yeah... TTYL
