Peter walks in on a stay in date between Tony and Pepper. He was sick, something they hadn't thought possible with the spider bite well they were wrong, so May had sent him there. He wasn't in his right state of mind so he didn't notice they were on a date so he goes and curls up in Tony's lap, scaring the crap out of the couple, but when they realize that it was just their spider-baby they settle down.

Pepper looks over at Tony with a 'were we supposed to have him today?' look. Tony looks at her with a 'no, I don't think so,' look.

"Hey, Underroos, did we know you were coming tonight?" Tony asks the teen in his lap, gently.

"May said that she talked to you then sent me over here because I'm sick." Said teen responds, weakly.

"Bud, what do you mean your sick, we thought you couldn't get sick." Pepper says, trying to be as gentle as possible.

"Pep, can you get a water bottle out of the fridge and a blanket, please?" Tony asks his wife.

"Yeah, I'll be right back. Pete, do you want one of the blankets off your bed?" the teen doesn't respond except for a weak, barley visible nod, "Ok, I'll be right back," Pepper says as she leaves.

"Is May working tonight, Bambino?" Tony asks the lighter than he should be teen.

"N-no."

"Ok,"

" 'addy?" (Daddy. No, not in that way, ya nasties! Peter is referring to Tony as his father that's it) Tony's heart swells at Peter calling him that.

"Yeah, bud?"

" 'ay got a boyfriend, I think she doesn't like me 'more."

"Oh, Pete, what makes you say that?"

"She locked me in a closet and 'ouldn't let me leave until the next day."

"She what?!?" Pepper yells, coming back in the room. Peter flinches, "Sorry, Pete. I got your blanket and water." Pepper sits down next to Peter and Tony.

"Bambino, what do you mean?"

"Closet, locked, tight space....no food for twenty-four hours.....It was scary! I don't like small spaces."

"Don't worry, we won't make you go into any small spaces or closets," Tony replies as he spreads the blanket around himself and his kid. Pepper hands him the water. 'Thank you,' he mouths to her. Pepper nods in return.

" 'ommy." Peter mumbles, making grabby hands for Pepper. Pepper smiles as her heart swells with love for this teen who currently looks so small. Tony and Pepper maneuver themselves so that they can move Peter comfortably, without hurting him. They successfully manage to get Peter from Tony's lap to Pepper's.

"Hi, sweetheart, I'm sorry for yelling, I know that your hearing must be dialed up more then normal, while your sick," Pepper says, softly. In response she gets a warmer-than-it-should-be forehead to her collarbone like a small child would to its mother. "aw, baby, your so warm. Tony, go get Bruce."

"On it." Tony gets up and goes to the labs to get his science bro. When they get to living room of the penthouse they see Peter asleep while Pepper is gently carding her hand threw Peter's soft chestnut curls, while the other one rubs his back softly.

They get Peter to his bed where he doesn't let Pepper go so she surrenders herself to being a pillow for a spider baby for the night.

Tony gives Peter the next day off so that they can figure out what caused Peter to get sick, turns out he was poisoned, Tony suspects May had something to do with it but had no proof.
