1.) The Battle of Hogwarts happens in 1998, the same year the first book was published. The saying "I open at the close," goes along with this.

2.) When reflected, an inscription on the Mirror of Erised reads "I show not your face but your heart's desire."

3.) The spell "Expecto Patronum" means "I await a guardian" in Latin.

4.) The spell is a physical representation of the caster's soul, making James (a stag) and Lily Potter (a doe) literal soulmates.

5.) Ron and Hermione are also meant to be together, as Ron's Patronus is a Jack Russel terrier, known for chasing otters, or Hermione's Patronus.
