· Preston never thought of it much really

· He just thought that Fem! Rob was just a really good friend

· Sure she made his heart race whenever she so much as smiled or talked to him

· And he really liked her company, more than he would really admit

· Plus her pretty pretty eyes seemed to stare into his very being

· The way her hair smelled left him weak in the knees (-very soft and beautiful ahh he could play with her hair all day-)

· And her voice great cactus Jones her voice

· Okay maybe he had a little crush on her but really who could blame him?

· Rob is perfect

· Fem! Rob never thought much of it really

· She knew Preston was more than a friend in her eyes but she wouldn't dare try to voice it out

· They were friends, best friends even, and she didn't want to destroy that

· Still it didn't stop her from wanting it to stop being '(cact)I' and become '(cact)Us"

· Her heart still skips a beat or two whenever they're together and having fun

· She loved the way he brightened up the room with a single smile that made her knees feel like jelly

· And god his eyes

· His eyes burned bright like his avatar did and they stared right into her soul

· Yes she loved him but who could fault her?

· Preston is perfect

· Both their hearts ached to have 'Poofless' canon

· And everytime they have any moment close to being romantic they keep having to remind themselves that it's for the fans, Rob/Preston doesn't like me back, it's just for the fans, it's not real

· It's not REAL—

· But then one night the two of them come home holding hands and Rob's face is a deep red and even though Preston seemed to be slightly injured, they're both smiling widely and looking at each other with hearts in their eyes

· It doesn't really take much for The Pack to put together that they're dating and in love

· "You owe me 20 dollars"

· "Damnit"

· Preston gets worked up when Rob is not by his side, the others have a hard time keeping him calm

· "MY FLOWER QUEEN IS MISSING DAMNIT"

· "she's jUST DOWNSTAIRS YOU JAG"

· (that night replays back in his mind with striking clarity and never had he wanted someone dead this much before but he didn't care, he almost lost her that night and he wasn't ever going to let her out of his sight ever again, not if he could help it)

· Rob is taller than Preston (by like a few inches or so) but he doesn't mind

· Sometimes he'll take Rob by the stairs and climb about 2 to 3 steps and give her a sweet little kiss on her face (p much anywhere really: cheek, nose, forehead, you name it)

· Or pretty much wherever he's taller than her

· (ppssssttt she gets turned on by that)

· Rob still gets flustered by it even if the (her) Texan dork does it every fudging day

· Preston melts under her touch, just saying

· He will sweep Rob off her feet and carry her bridal style anytime he wanted to

· I bet you anything Rob would just go with the flow and wear a flower crown on her head and be like chillin' in her boyfriend's arms

· She would be so nonchalant about it 

Vikklan

· One day Vikk is bored

· He already had a number of videos ready and there wasn't anything else to record

· And out of the blue he decides on watching other Tubers for the heck of it and sees a certain blonde's videos on his 'recommended for you' list and thought "hey why not"

· Surprisingly he gets into it, you know watching Fem! Lachlan's videos, and soon he was going through her channel's playlist and binge-watching everything

· The Sidemen notice that Vikk is always watching something whenever they had nothing to do and they get curious

· They make him spill the beans later and they think nothing of it, Vikk is just really nice-

· Well, back then maybe (they never did get the name, did they?)

· But then Vikk starts talking about her

· A LOT

· "she has these really bright blue eyes" "uh huh" "and her hair is usually in a really cute ponytail-" "cute?" "forget I said that, I never said that, what are we talking about again-?"

· And it would be impossible to not hear "Lachlan this" "Lachlan that" whenever they'd talk to him and it was pretty obvious to everyone by now that little Vikky had a crush

· Well, everyone except Vikk, funnily enough

· Or was it?

· The first time he sees one of her videos with facecam, his heart skips a beat

· His cheeks heat up, he pauses the video and just stares at her and how beautiful she was

· He wasn't stupid he knew he really (loved) liked her but

· In his mind, he worries it wouldn't work anyway

· He made it seem like he didn't know that he had a crush because it would be better that way right?

· So then why was he staring at the invitation to record a video with a stony expression?

· Oh right, because the message was from Lachlan

· His hands were getting clammy, what should he do?

· Minutes later he bravely stupidly replies back with an "okay" and she sends back a message saying that she was looking forward to it with smiley face emoticon and his heart melts

· Fem! Lachlan doesn't know why she was sending "VikkStar123HD" an invitation to record a video with her

· She gotten into Youtube and Minecraft mostly through BajanCanadian (an awesome girl gamer yyyaaassss, she grinned in her mind) and found him through her as well

· He seemed really interesting, she'd give him that

· And he had a really, really nice voice—

· So she starts watching him too, starts looking through his vids and she gets hooked

· (and the first time she saw his vid with facecam on, she'd deny that she paused the video to scream into a pillow because damnit he's really good-looking)

· She just stares blankly at her screen when she sees his reply and she grabs a pillow and screams into it (again) before composing herself enough to reply back (and then she screams into the pillow again)

· Then soon she gets into The Pack with him and they meet in real life for the first time in forever and the first thing that pops in her mind is 'oh wow he's actually shorter than I expected cuter too'

· Vikk joins The Pack where he finally meets Lachlan for the first time in real life and 'goodness she's taller than I thought much more beautiful up close too'

· And the term Vikklan is coined

· Both of them want Vikklan to be real

· but they're scared

· Then Poofless is suddenly canon

· and if they can be canon, they why can't Vikklan be real too?

· Vikk makes the first move and asks her out

· Well he tries to but something always comes up and one of them is taken away for a recording or something

· And finally he gets his chance and they're alone and as he opens his mouth

· The door crEAKS AND HE SNAPS BECAUSE DAMNIT HE'S BEEN TRYING TO ASK THIS LOVELY LADY OUT FOR AGES NOW AND HE KEEPS GETTING HIS CHANCE RUINED BY YOU FUCKING TWATS- (omg dude chiiiillll-)

· Vikk hears Lachlan giggle

· He turns to her and she's laughing, her cheeks painted red like her avatar's hoodie and maybe she has tears in her eyes because she's so fucking relieved that Vikk liked her the way she did too­-

· She gives him a peck on the cheek and says, "I'd love to"

· In a fit of uncharacteristic boldness, Vikk pulls her face close to his and their lips connect

· "VIKKLAN IS REAL" Preston screams from the door and runs around the house to tell everyone and the two blushed madly, seems they forgot that they weren't the only ones there

· ...but they don't regret it and damn Vikk you kiss good—

Merome

· The two met in 4th grade, everyone knows that

· At the time, Jerome didn't care that Mitch was a girl, he was over the 'girls-have-cooties-' phase by then and really, she was fun to hang out with, what was so wrong with that?

· She made his life exciting and made him do things he never thought he'd do before that left him with tremendous amounts of exhilaration and-

· So what if she was the new kid, what if she was different?

· She is his best friend, he is her partner-in-crime (and by crime they meant fun and pranks), she is the girl who looked and acted so much like a boy that, sometimes, even he forgets that she wasn't, she is the girl he comforted that one day she breaks down in front of him about her insecurities and fears (I didn't mean to be different I never wanted to be different what am I doing wrong Jerome? What's wrong with me-? Why don't they like me--?) and he realizes that she isn't as strong as he always thought she was

· To him, she is Mitchelle Hughes, she is his 'biggums' and nothing will ever change that

· (...until puberty hit //shot)

· Little Fem! Mitch had never been fond of the idea of moving

· She didn't like going out of her 'comfort zone' period

· Change was scary to her, why did everything always have to change so much?

· But she covers it all up with a confident and exuberant exterior cause if not she'd get picked on for being "such a baby about it"

· (Not that it did any good, it still separated her from her peers didn't it? She supposed it was okay though, at least then she wouldn't get hurt-)

· (But there was one boy who was so annoyingly persistent on befriending her and when she looked into his amazing shining eyes, he seemed so genuine that she couldn't bring herself to turn him down)

· And surprisingly enough, she truly enjoyed his company???

· They've been best friends since then

· It's Mitch who first realizes their feelings for the other

· Jerome's been the light of her life ever since she and her family moved here

· He stays by her side for a reason she couldn't fathom

· And he's really nice and friendly and amazing and handsome-

· Really they just clicked

· And it's because of that, she's afraid to admit her feelings

· What if everything changes?

· Would she really risk losing the person worth living for?

· And for what? Her stupid, insignificant feelings?

· No

· She wouldn't

· She's content enough with what they have now, happy with what she already has (even if it was killing her inside because they could be more, he could be her's and she his', but no she was a coward who feared hurt and rejection so much that she'd rather already give up before she even tried-)

· They're in high school when Jerome becomes aware of his growing feelings for the brunette

· It's just so easy for him to think of Mitch as 'one of the guys' until he starts noticing her, really admiring her as a (girl) woman

· How her hair was tucked into a messy ponytail or detailed braid, how her curves really made her look hot('nspicy), how her long slender fingers grasps at his own and loving the fact that her hand fit with his own so perfectly

· How much he loved her

· How much he wanted them to be together

· How much he wanted her to be his

· But he can't, he couldn't, not with how fragile she was now and he knew how much she feared change

· He wasn't going to rush things, he'd take it slow and it's fine because he knows that she loves him too but she's too scared, too terrified that she'll end up losing him somehow

· They'd both be walking into unchartered territory if they start dating now

· Then Youtube happened

· And slowly but surely, Jerome and Mitch become closer than ever

· Yet they're still not in a relationship, it's not the right time

· (They sit together on one of the beanbags comfortably and Jerome asks if she would want them to make it official but Mitch stiffens and shakes her head slowly, he understands, she's still clinging to that irrational fear but it's fine, they'll be fine)

· (He just presses his lips on her forehead and they drift into dreamland where the two of them are together like always)

· Their time in The Pack was smooth sailing until "Poofless is canon" and "Vikklan is real" happens and their fans are craving for "Merome to happen" and it seems like the others do too

· They're not blind

· They can see the love in their eyes

· So why?

· The four of them find their answer when they see the 'Merome' duo asleep, with Jerome's arms draped over Mitch and said brunette curled in comfortably in his arms

· Merome isn't going to happen, they conclude

· Because it already had, long before the six of them had met

· Back when Jerome held out his hand to the interesting girl who's always smiling those smiles that never really reach his eyes

· Back when Mitch stares at the stubborn boy that insisted to be her 'best friend' and finally relenting to his whim because there was something special about him and she knew he'd never change and hurt her

· Back when they locked their pinkies together and swore

· "Forever," she tilts her head slightly to the left and sends him a real smile.

· "And always," he said, a grin splitting across his face.
