Minecraft:Story Mode Headcanon

People living there CAN actually respawn.

But the downside is that they're usually teleported somewhere quite far from their home and any memory of themselves and anyone they've met are erased. They know how their world works, and they could retain some unique knowledge of mobs they could've encountered in their previous life but anything personal is just -poof!- gone.

There has been no records of these cases where they meet any of their friends from their previous lives nor any information about them at all.

And so this information was lost in the streams of time, because really, why would they bother with this? Just spare them the heartbreak.

(Sometimes you see Them lurking in the massive crowds but you just shake your head and continue on your way because it couldn't be Them who was DEAD, and that the old stories that talk of reincarnation couldn't possibly be true.

...right?) 

Prompt

Person B is always so grumpy, always scowling and Person A tries to teach them to smile.

It ends in failure because it turns out that Person B's smile is much more terrifying that their scowls. Person A just sighs and calls the operation a failure.

(Maybe they'll get started on that other one: Making Person B laugh. Person B's laugh can't possibly be terrifying now, could they?)

Later when Person A sees Person B crouching near an alleyway, they get worried.

(And no, they weren't stalking Person B - what are you talking about? Sure, Person B lives near a bad part of the neighborhood -andpersonBmayhavecametoschoolwithablackeyebeforebutthatisirrelevant- but they can take care of themselves. It's not like Person A is worried.)

Person A peeks around the corner of the alleyway and is surprised to see Person B petting a stray with small but genuine smile on their face. And they're taken aback because this smile is just so pure -and not terrifying, holy shit- and so, so adorable that Person A's so sure that their face is redder than a tomato.
