Humans were remarkable. They simply would never wait.

Most creatures are satisfied with their part in the ecosystem. If there must be a change, it will be with the environment. 

Humans were the first to kill their own ecosystem, and to destroy the one thing that everyone's survival depended on. Humans were the first to bring their own wildlife beneath them; even in premature development, they tamed so many animals they had no claim on. Notably, they domesticated the like of horses, elephants, donkeys, and those that would go faster and steadier than themselves— like it was most of the times, their reason for this was speed. 

Speed and efficiency. Those are their mottos. Quickly, without hesitation, these creatures began to search through space in hopes of finding what they call 'aliens.' 

A pity that they never bothered checking their own oceans.
