With a sigh, you looked down at your knee that was wrapped up with bandages and splints. Shocks of pain went through your whole leg as you crutched down the streets of New York. The weather wasn't kind, rain poured down in buckets and wasn't a good mix with crutches. What happened?
Broadway doesn't understand guns. He had watched a movie with cowboys and what not and of course it had guns in it. He had found your tiny pistol that you kept near the door just in case something ever happened.
Well, he had found it and was recreating th movie as if he was that cowboy with the gun. His finger slipped and landed on the trigger and shots were fired as the bullet went right through you knee and hit Elisa.
The pain was to much as you let out a blood curtailing scream and passing out seconds after. All you remember was Broadway's shocked look before you blacked out.
You woke up in the hospital with you knee all wrapped up. You ended up having a shattered kneecap with other injures involving the knee. They let you go and that's how we got here.
You looked up as you saw the clock tower in sight. You could see Goliath getting off the rail up by the clock. A smile fromed on your face as you saw him.
It has been over a week since you saw everyone, especially Broadway. God, how has he been doing, you thought as your smile faltered.
"Well, I'll just have to see myself I guess." You mumbled as you went in and got to the elevator.
So many people at the police station are so used to seeing you, they just assume that you are the repair lady or something. You used this to the best of your advantage. Plus, Elisa had your back so you were okay.
You pressed to button and the elevator doors shut as you leaned against the walls of the small room. The elevator jerked up as the bright red numbers started to go up.
You started to get antsy as you held yourself on the crutches, getting ready to burst out the elevator doors as soon as they open. The smile on your face continued to grow. You have know idea what you were going to do, but you sure weren't going to do nothing.
No idea why you were so excited but you were. Probably because you don't have friends other than Elisa..... that thought made you frown.
The elevator doors opened and you hoped out of the there before the doors got all the way open. You crutches as fast as you could. You let out one breath as your crutches echoed through out the old clock tower. Excitment filled you. A whole week without seeing anyone was starting to get very boring any lonely.
You turned the corner and stopped dead in your tracks as your smile dropped. There stood a dark figure in front of the huge glass clock. They didn't look like they were facing you. You cructched a few steps forward and then stopped.
"Hey, you know your not allowed up here." You said with a stern voice.
It went dead silent. "Hello, did you know hear me? Are deaf?" You snapped.
They just stood there, not moving a muscle. You did a small, growl. You started to make your way towards them, but before you could move another step, they turned around with incredible speeds and charged at you.
Before you could realize what was going on, they had already shoved you to the ground. You let out a loud yelp as you hit the hard brick floor. You groaned and looked up to see who had done this.
"You." You heard a very angry voice.
Yup, Demona. Always hated you and especially Elisa for Goliath favoring her. That must of been Demona getting off the rail, not Goliath.
"Demona!?" You yelled with shocked as you squirmed beneath her.
"You we're suppose to be dead!" She screamed as her eyes became a bright and dark red and squeezed wrists.
"What are you talking about?" You growled.
She pressed harder as her boney dug into your hurt knee. Your eyes widen as you let out a scream of agony. She stopped at you response and looked down at you wrapped knee. A devilsh smile appeared and her eyes glowing brighter.
She pressed harder to your knees as pain shot through your whole leg. You let out another loud scream as tears spilled from your eyes. You started to struggle to get her off that knee.
"You little human friend is already on the line of death." She smiled and got closer to your face.
You gritted your teeth and looked up at her. "Yeah right. She woke up tonight." You said hissing as the tears continued to flow.
Demona stared at you for a second before letting out a huge laugh. Your eyes scanned her face as confusion hit you. Immiedatly when you looked at her, she snapped her neck back down to you her smile never fading.
"That is just perfect. You and you scum friend are in for a big surprise." She said through chuckles.
"What are you talking about." You let out as you finally got her knee off of yours. It was pounding with pain as you did let out a sigh of relief.
"Oh that's right, I forgot to tell you. Ever since Broadway shot you and Elisa, he has been so down. I decided to brighten things up by letting him know that you both have died from his little mishap." She laughed.
Your eyes widen. "And? He doesn't trust you. Non of them do." You said not letting your stern face falter.
"Is that so? All I to do was give proof that it was true." She said slyly.
You narrowed your eyes as you peaked behind her. The gargoyles weren't anywhere in sight. Not even the flakes of stone was on the ground. Your mouth opened a little as you eyes widen.
A snarl formed on your face as you jerked up closer to her face. The hot feeling of anger invaded your body as your whole face scrunched up in anger. You have been stuck in the hospital for over a week, you were not in the mood and what ever she did, she was going to pay for it.
"What did you do!?" You snarled.
"Now why would I reveal my tricks?" She smiled.
You couldn't take it anymore. The sudden rush of anger and adrenaline hit you as you grabbed her wrists and swung there over to her back, not noticing the pain shooting through otu your leg.
She hit the ground with a hard thud as her red eyes disappeared for the slightest second as she let out a scream. You thought your had her and yelled,
"What did you do with them!" Your eyes filled with rage as you stared into her evil eyes.
"You are a brave and strong human, but also very stupid." She growled before her hand slipped yours and on to your neck.
You let out gasp as she gripped and threw you away from her with a lot of strength and I mean a lot. You hit the hard ground and started rolling from the force. You struggled to grab a hold to the ground or anything that could help you stop.
With your luck, her force was so strong that you burst through the clock, shattering in into pieces. You let out a scream as the glass glided and dived into your skin.
When you opened your eyes, you flew right off the balcony, but with a second to spare, you got a hold of the railing. You let out a breath of relief as you looked down.
You let out a loud gasp as you held on with both hands. "Ohhhhhhh this isn't good." You breathed out as you swung slightly back and forth.
Your hair blew in the night as rain landed on your skin like bullets. You let out a yelp, the people and cars looked like ants. This wasn't good and you were terrified.
You looked at you hands as you tried to lift yourself up. You went up a little bit before Demona walked out with her hips swinging side to side.
She crouched down in front of your hands and smile as she dragged a finger across your hands. "Oh no, you fell and no one is here at your aid when you need it the most. Isn't that sad." She asked with a baby voice.
You growled as the cold rain hit your face. "What else do you want from me Demona? You have done all the damage you could do. What else could you do, kill me?" You snapped.
You look up at her as she shook her head. "I won't kill you instantly. You make it so easy. You are injured. No injured animal wins in a fight. Let's see how long you can hold on." She smiled as she prided one of your hands off with her sharp claws.
You let out a small scream as you jerked down. "See you on the street." And with that, she jumped off the banister with a laugh as dissappeard into the night.
You gulped as you looked at your hand, it was slipping and the rain wasn't helping. You started to freak out as you tired to lift your full weight with one and the help of your legs.
Unfortunately, Demona pressed so hard into your knee, it refused to move as it locked in place. Blood leaked from your knee and down towards the street. You let out a gasp as your only option to getting up safely was calling for help.
"Help, anyone help!" You screamed, but all you could hear was the rain.
You were losing grip and time. "SOMEONE HELP ME PLEASE!" You yelled hoping someone heard you.
You could feel warm tears fill your vision as you only had a second left of life. You couldn't help but start sobbing. You were scared, sad, mad, and disappointed. You just wanted to see everyone, you wanted to see Broadway. Tell him that you forgave him and that you were still here. Now he is never going to know you are alive....or were.
"Help me...please.." You sobbed as the last bit of grip and surface ran out.
Fear took over once again as you let out a blood curtailing scream scream. You seemed to fall with the as some of the pieces of glass came down with you. The rain seemed to have slowed down. Everything flashing before your eyes. Memories. To the time you were able to walk to the day before the accident.
The screaming continued. But your body seemed to have cut it out. Trying to make it quiet so they could consintrait on the last moments of life. You could see people coming out of cars and shops to watch you die. That's why you hated humans, even yourself.
Even though you were about to visit heaven, you could say you died happy.
Everything seemed to go back to the same speed. The screaming ended as you just let life play it's part. Tears continued to fall, blending in with the rain.
But before you felt any pain or any hard impact, you could feel two huge arms wrap around your body with a tight grip before you jerked up.
You let out a loud yelp as you looked down. You were getting further and further away from the ground. You then snapped your neck up and saw someone you never expected to see, bringing a smile to your face.
There covered in rain that dripped on you was Broadway. He glided in the rainy wind, not stopping at the clock tower just yet or even looking down at you. He landed on top of a building that was smaller then the clock tower. It was kinda dark, it was hard for you to notice his face.
He set you down and backed up. "You are safe ma'am. Try to stay away from the clock tower next time. Have a safe night." He started to leave.
He voice sounded so dead. Did he not know it was you? You didn't spend to much time thinking on it before you hopped up and grabbed his arm as the shocking pain hit your leg again.
"Broadway wait." You quickly said before hissing.
He stopped dead in his tracks, his head turning over his shoulder with his eyes glowing white before turning around completely. You immediately let go.
"How do you know my name?" He said with almost a growl.
You opened you mouth but nothing came out. Why? You back up as he continued to get closer.
"Did you not hear me? How. Do. You. Know. My. Name?" He asked again growling.
"Br-Broadway, I...." before you got to finish, you fell due to the pained leg, but that didn't stop you from trying to get away from him or get some space between you two.
He crouched down his eyes glowing. "Who are you." He snapped.
You hit the door that leads you back into the building as you slid down to almost your back due to its design. Luckily It held out head up. It was like someone cut an egg in half and placed one half down like a dome.
"Well, I mean. Remember that accident where you shot to people with out meaning to...." You asked but with out a second later, Broadway slammed his hand on on the ground and dug his claws into the cement right beside you shoulders as you let out a gasp.
You looked up, Broadway was over top of you with his face in yours.
"What do you know about that!? Who are you!? Are you a spy?!" He snarled as he growled and his eyes getting brighter.
You squeezed your eyes shut. "Its me Broadway! (Y/N)!!" You yelled.
Broadway stopped immediately and looked closer. "No...You can't be! She died! I saw the news!" He yelled with rage.
"I promise Broadway's it's me!" You said still squeezing your eyes.
"Don't lie to me!" He screamed.
"Do I not sound like (Y/N)?" You asked looking up.
He growled and dug his claws deeper into the ground. "Humans can sound the same."
"Okay okay, if you dont believe me, then see for yourself, bring me to a light or something!" You quickly said.
He let out a huff as he took a minute to think. Without any other option, he picked you up with your arms pinned to your sides. He picked you up and walked towards the edge. His claws held you tightly as you looked at him. It was still to dark to see the features of his face, so you could tell why he couldn't recognize you.
He looked at you for one second before he jumped off the ledge, plummeting towards the ground. You let out a scream. "This is it. I'm going to die." You said.
But before you hit the ground, he dove up letting the rain feel as if they were bullets once again. The wind was strong as it made you hair blow in your face and maybe on Broadway's.
He stopped in the air in front off the moon, or what was visible of the moon. You could see all of Broadway's features perfectly which made you smile.
Broadway could feel himself stop breathing as he saw you. The moon reflected off of your rain covered face. Your bright (E/C) eyes glowed. It was you. But how?
His eyes went to normal as he scanned your body. "How..." He asked with shock. "I saw....the news..."
"Broadway it was a trick. Demona set the whole thing up to trick you to believe that me and Elisa had died." You explain.
"What about Elisa?" He asked.
"Elisa woke up tonight, the same night I got out. You only hit my knee." You said with a sigh.
He looked at you knee seeing blood leaking through from Demona. He then looked you up and down seeing cuts all over your body.
"Demona?" He asked.
You shook your head as you could see the anger boiling up. "She made me believe you were dead. She made everyone believe I had killed you. I thought that I..." He mumbled angerly as his eyes started to glow.
"Whoa, Broadway. Calm down. Look I'm still alive ain't I? We can deal with Demona later, Okay?" You say looking at him calmly since you couldn't move your arms.
He took a deep breath as his eyes went back to normal. But did not look back at you. "Yeah I know, I was mad at her as well man. But hey, at least I ain't dead." You said with a chuckle.
It went silent for a second before he pulled you into a very tight hug. His back shook as he squeezed you tighter. "I thought I had killed you..." He mumbled.
You let out a soft sigh as you wrapped your arms around him as he flapped his wings to stay in place. "Its okay Broadway. We all make mistakes. Everyone of us." You said as he let out a few tears.
It's wasn't long before he calmed down. He pulled back and looked at you as the rain continued, not slowing down. Even with Broadway's wet face, you could tell there was tears.
"Broadway? Why weren't you guys at the clock tower?" You asked.
He sighed. "I left because I couldn't face what I did. I guess the rest went to come find me. I don't know." He said with a raspy voice.
"Look I think we both have had a long night. Let's get out of the rain and if you want....I can get some sushi?" You asked shrugging your shoulders as you took your hand and put it on his cheek as if you were actually succeeding at wiping his tears as you tried to get off the topic.
He let out a low chuckle as he looked at you. "I dont even know what that is." He laughed as his hands connected in the back as you were pressed up aginst him.
You let out a giggle and shook your head. "Just a type of food. I think you might like it." You said with a bright smile.
"I think I will like that." He said with a smile himself.
You couldn't help but let you smile grow as you leaned up and gave him a small kiss on the nose. "Well what are we waiting for? Let's go get some food." You said with heated cheeks while Broadway looked down at you with shock.
You bit your bottom lip. "Sorry, I don't even think that's legal." You nervously laughed.
He smirked. "It must be okay since Elisa and Goliath do it." He said excitedly.
Your eyes widen. "No way! They do?!" You laughed.
"Yeah, and it was way more then what you did." He said as if he was one of the gossip queens at school.
"You mean they made out? Like I said, is the even legal? That and....does that mean...You know what never mind." You said shaking the slightly dirty thought out of your head and stopped your rambling.
"I don't know what made out is, but it went a little something like this." He said as he wrapped one arm around your waist tightly and took his claw and put it under your chin.
He cleared his throat. "Elisa." He said with a deep voice to mimic Goliath.
You covered your mouth for a second as you laughed. You took a second to breath defore you turned around with a seductive look trying to act like Elisa. To be straight up honest you both were very nervous and maybe just a little awkward, but where was the fun with out it.
"Yes my love." You said with a voice Broadway has never heard. It was actually seducing.
He gulp before he continued. "Do you know how beautiful you are under the moon light and in my very big arms. They are so big." Broadway teased before laughing.
"Oh, they are so big darling. You look so hansome with me lying here helplessly in your arms." You said leaning back a little with the back of your hand on your head.
"Do not worry Elisa my love, I will protect you and my big arms for as long as I live." Broadway said grabbing your chin again.
"Oh G-Goliath." You said almost messing up the sentence with a laugh.
"Oh Elisa." Broadway laughed.
You two took a minute and laughed at your childness. The rain seemed to have made the mood perfect for what you guys were going for. You both took a second to breath as you locked eyes.
"Thanks for saving me Broadway." You said softly.
"Hey, it's what I do. Plus, I would never let you get hurt...err....well not on purpose anyways." He quickly said as he looked away.
"Its okay Broadway, I promise." You said putting your hand back on his cheek and making him face you.
His claw was still under your chin while yours was on his cheek. "(Y/N)..ummm, this is what Elisa and Goliath did." He said but then stopped.
"Unless you don't want me to." He quickly said.
You did an embarrassed laugh. "Well, I mean...I don't mind." You said your face turning red.
He smile. "Good." But before he could do anything, you smirked as you placed your lips on his with passion. Only for a second was he surprised before letting his eyes roll back and falling back kissing back. He wrapped you in his wings as you guys plummet through the air.
You didn't worry though, you were enjoying this to much as did Broadway. Honestly, it was amazing and Broadway was shocked since he had never done this before and not he was doing it to a human. It was nice while it lasted.
He pulled back with a huge grin and let his wings loose, letting you both glide through the air. "So was that what they did Broadway?" You asked.
He looked up like he was thinking before shaking his head. "No, they were more aggressive. Goliath slammed Elisa into the wall before doing that which I thought hurt." He said questionable as he was heading towards the clock tower.
"Oh...wait." You said before your eyes widen slight. He was going to show you what Goliath was doing and that was a whole lot different then what you guys just did.
"What?" He asked.
"Nothing. Absolutely nothing." You quickly said shaking you head but then stopped..
"No wait I take that back." You said smiling.
Broadway cocked a brow and looked down at you. "I love you. That's what I said." You said snuggling up to him the best you could.
Broadway smiled at that response as the clock tower was in sight. "I love you too."
