Name: Sigmantis the alien
Age: His species of alien stop ageing at the age of thirty. At the age of thirty, they just exist in their present appearance for years, and years, and years. Some can exist for generations, becoming ancient though still looking youthful, until their time to leave is given a date. When they die, they fade into star dust. These aliens don't recognise the word 'dying.' When they pass on, they refer to it as 'fading into the stars'

Species: Alien. If one wishes to be pedantic his species of alien is the Constellatus
Appearance: There will be an image of him
Personality: Sigmantis is naturally a reserved individual, preferring to exercise wariness and caution rather than foolhardy brashness and thoughtlessness. Sometimes, this wariness and pedantic analysis of situations can hinder his actions.
He tends to prefer his own company, or the company of a few individuals who share a personality similar to his. He doesn't like constant socialising though, and is certainly more introvert than extrovert.
He's intelligent and observant, often thinking through situations and consequences before acting. However, if a situation is truly dire, he will act upon gut feeling or instinct if absolutely necessary.
Due to events in his past, Sigmantis is hesitant about conveying blatant compassion or generosity, and will only act kindly in a more subtle manner. He is scared of portraying weakness, so he tends to hide behind a facade of cold aloofness.
Of course, the facade does slip, and when the facade slips he's capable of portraying a more amusing, kind side. He does feel guilt, and actually enjoys being sarcastic and delivering dry remarks. When feeling confident he can be quite the snarky, teasing fellow
Powers/traits/anatomy:
He has two hearts. The main heart functions as a normal heart, pumping blood to his organs, keeping his body alive. The second heart is smaller, and pumps energy through his body. This energy is linked to the gem fragment upon Sigmantis's head. The heart becomes weaker and less capable of pumping the energy when Sigmantis himself is injured or ill. The beats of his second heart have a soft, humming undertone to them, whilst his main heart has normal sounding beats. The energy within his body has a glowing quality to it. When he is injured, he can use the energy to heal himself. During the process, the energy glows with more intensity, and it's visible through his body.
Constellatus aliens each have special gems linked to their families, and the alien biology allows them to harness the energy of these gems. Sigmantis's gem is the alziran, a green gem, and the most powerful gem a family can hope to harness the energy of. The alziran also enhances Sigmantis's concentration, so he's capable of more mindful abilities, such as astral projection. However, he tends to use the gem's energy to create shields, barriers, or energy tendrils. He fights in a cautious manner, from a distance usually.
A Constellatus alien can only harness a gem's energy if the gem is linked to their family, and if it touches their body. Thus, when they come of age, a Constellatus alien goes through a special ceremony where a shard of the gem is fused either to their chest or forehead. If it's removed, they lose the ability to harness the gem's power.
He has leathery wings and can fly
Backstory: Sigmantis was born on the Constellatus planet, to the alziran family. Due to being the most powerful aliens within the Constellatus society, the alziran family were known as the rulers, the head family.
The Constellatus were aggressive, territorial aliens, quite primitive in some aspects of their nature, yet actually advanced in engineering and traditions/culture. They enjoyed waging war upon nearby planets, and often terrorised other alien species with their inventions and army.
Sigmantis himself was an aggressive being, conforming to his Society's ways, until he was injured badly during a raid upon a nearby planet. The Constellatus thought him dead and abandoned him upon the planet, returning to their home planet.
But Sigmantis was discovered by a local alien survivor and he was treated, given a second chance in life. During his recuperation, Sigmantis was lectured about morality, taught about kindness and different virtues. Such things weren't taught on Constellatus, and the young alien was interested. Whilst he stayed with the other alien, he became a better individual, discovering that he preferred to show kindness and helpfulness as it made him feel happier and content.
But the other alien was elderly, and died during a harsh year. Sigmantis was stricken with grief and buried his friend and teacher, remaining by the grave for days until he finally realised that he had to move on in life.
Sigmantis was desperate to pass on the other alien's teachings in kindness, and wished to transform his own species from aggressive beings into good natured beings. He now realised the devastation his brethren had caused, and wished to put a halt to it.
He returned to his home planet, and was welcomed back, his rank being restored to him. Sigmantis remained on the planet for many years, until his father died and he was the next in line as head of the family.
When Sigmantis received the rank, he almost instantly created plans in teaching his alien society about virtues and goodness, hopeful that they, like him, would change for the better.
But the Constellatus weren't at all pleased, for they had, for centuries, been aggressive, hostile, violent creatures, and they didn't want to change. Realising that Sigmantis was not the ruler they wanted, they overpowered the young alien, and removed his rank. He was wounded in the process, receiving a claw scratch down one eye.
Then Sigmantis was exiled in disgrace, deemed to no longer be a member of the Constellatus society. If he was ever seen again by a Constellatus member, or if he returned to the planet, they would have consent to kill him.
He was sent to earth.
