Mason's original name was Monica before he changed it when he was transitioning to male.
I know in the imagine you can't see it but he has scars underneath where his breast would be he had surgery done to get his breast tissue removed to look more male.
Mason still has a vagina he wasnt gonna go that far with his surgery to get a males reproductive system added he was okay with his females reproductive system

Powers/Abilities
Mason is what you would called an Avatar you know from the anime Avatar The Last Air bender, like in that anime Mason has the ability to move, water, fire as well as use the elements of earth to help out.
if you havent see the show well.

Fire Breathe: Mason can breath fire like a dragon its a very strong fire and how he does this is unknown but it does have a side effect with leaving him coughing up black smoke, so he only uses it if needed.

Fire Bending: as the name implies he can summon/use existing fire at will and use it to help him in combat these fire attacks can range from Fire Whips, Flame Wheels, Fire Balls and the flames of the Twin Dragons which is a wave of Fire in the shape of dragons they move in a wave like motion but of course can be used to get to place by riding on them.

Burning Rage: This is the dangerous of his fire abilities, as the name implies with this Mason's body becomes one with the flames and he sets himself on fire in an environment like if its raining his body will over power the water, in this state he doesn't use it much because Rage is a powerful thing once in this state he will stop at nothing until destroys or kills the person that has in raged him.

Aqua Jet: Yes i know cleaver, this allows Mason to swim in the water whether is be in the ocean or lake, what it does is that is covers Mason in a water like tube before just jetting him forward.

Water Bending: As the name implies he can use anything that has water whether it be the water that is found in plants, his own sweat and tears, and water from rain and Water Vapor that is in the air he can turn into a weapon, he can as well as freeze the water that he uses, water attacks include Water Rope, Rain Bullets, Ice Storm, Ice Spears, and Water Shield

Blood Bending: Yes in case you have forgotten Mobians and Humans are made up a 70% of water so with that being said Mason can control others just with the blood in there body he doesnt like using this kind of Bending, unless its needed.

Earth Bending: as the name implies this is when your the dirt of the Earth to use in battle yes i know in the image hes wearing shoes but he can feel the vibrations in the ground to tell where his opponent is, with this he can pull solid rocks out of the ground to throw at opponents, this does have some limits deserts and beaches are where earth bending has its limits but Mason has the power to turn the sand into stone, he can move buildings and can create rock golems that follow his motions

Air Bending: Yes Mason can control the power of the wind with this Mason can use this type of binding to fly, but he can use it to name mini air spheres to fire at opponents to do damage be doesn't use this ability much since Fire, Earth, and Water Bending have more uses.

Mason like a normal Hedgehog can spin dash and run fast just not as Fast as Sonic or Ace but can keep up with them.

More Information
How did Mason join the Freedom Fighters? Well it was by accident, it was during the war against Infinite and Mason was the one of those new members that joined to help out when Ace was captured. With Mason's bravery Sally allowed him to be a permanent member of the Freedom Fighters.

How does Mason Powers work? Well it's hard to explain since Mason's Bending is all natural, tho he he just use the surrounding elements, Such as Water, Earth, and Air, but he can use natural sources like Water he can use Tears, Sweat and Blood, Earth Buildings that are made from natural material, but he can also Metal bend basically using the natural metals that can be naturally found with in the earth, and Air well Oxygen is found everywhere so that doesn't need to be explained as for Fire yes natural fire is hard to come by but because of his fire breath he can use that to him with those abilities.

Does Mason have and Mental Illnesses? Yes...do to his past and constantly being reminded of how much he hated his former self...so he has a problem with self-doubting himself as well as self harming, his arms and thighs are covered in those wounds, the choker around his neck covers the knife wound wound when he tried to killer himself but the Water God Chaos stopped the bleeding and healed him. He still has those thoughts from time to time.

How did he meet Ace? Well you know that scene in Sonic Forces where the Avatar Character meets Sonic, well that's how Mason met Ace, they went on a lot of adventures together Mason and Ace are kind of act like siblings in a way, so they are always fighting, arguing and making up in the end.

Is Mason a Decanted Of Dragons? Yes and No his fire move Flames of The Twin Dragons, is only a myth in Solirus you see no one can harness the power of that kind of fire power since that fire can reach temperatures up to the sun if used right, but Mason was mostly given the gift of the Flames from those dragons. I'll explain more about that in a different chapter.
