As Mark, Lupin, and Zukini were sleeping on the rooftops, Lupin was having a dream about her past. A pretty daisy in full bloom was sitting in the field in town. Lupin, as a child, looks eagerly at it with a smile.

Lupin's Mother: (laughing lightly) Why, hello, Lupin. Are we trying to catch an insect?

Lupin: I've found a flower!

Lupin's Mother: Oh, I see!

  Lupin rushes over to her mother.

Lupin: Can we take it home and show it to Dad?

Lupin's Mother: Of course, sweetheart, we should take care of it.

Lupin looks up excitingly and her mother rubs her head.

Lupin's Mother:  Your father has been hunting for quite some time. I bet that the journey's been very tiring, don't you?

Lupin: Yes.

Lupin's Mother: Do you think you'll know what he wants?

Lupin: I think... he wants a daisy crown on his head!

Lupin's Mother: *chuckle* Why did you have to inherit my creativity?

  She gives her daughter a playful nudge on her bottom as Lupin turns away and head towards the shopping district. She crosse the planks that serve as a bridge over the aqueduct. Her mother watches her go with a smile. Lupin walks through the open town before stopping to look in a bakery window. There are several treats, including slices of lemon meringue pie, frosted cupcakes, actual cakes with frosted waterlilies atop them, and a shelf of kitten-shaped bread. Lupin is happily excited but turns when she hears a voice.

Tall Boy: Hey, get back here!

    Lupin looks around the corner of the bakery, following the sound of a group of kids laughing and mocking. Three boys stand in a semicircle around a dirty looking girl who is crouched on the ground and clutching a loaf of bread.

Tall Boy: Where'd you get that bread? I didn't see you pay for it, thief!

Short Boy: No, look, it's all moldy!

Tall Boy: I think she got it from the trash!

Medium Boy: *reaching out* Lemme see!

  The girl bites his finger before he can touch the bread.

Medium Boy: Ah! She bit me!

    Tall Boy looks at Medium Boy's hand in horror before Medium Boy pushes the girl backward onto the ground. The little girl whimpers for a second but gets up and grabs her bread off the ground. She takes a few more steps back before crouching away again.

Short Boy: Where'd she come from?

  Lupin watches, taking a few uncertain steps forward.

Short Boy: She's dressed all weird!

Tall Boy: I bet she's abandoned! Like a dog or something!

Medium Boy: Does that mean I have rabies?

    All three chuckle meanly. The little girl sees Lupin getting closer and looks at her with big, blinking eyes. The bullies see her focus has changed to behind them and they turn to look. Lupin panics at having their focus and she turns to run, only to immediately bump into the legs of her father, Shion Creation. She falls back and looks up at him.

Lupin: Father?

Shion: What is happening here?

  The three bullies panic and look around, uncertain whether to run yet. The little girl, however, sees this as her opening and takes off with her bread. After a beat the bullies decide to run, too.

Shion: Do you wish to run with the rest of them?

  Lupin is standing upright, but she lowers her face in response. Shion puts his hand on his daughter's shoulder and lowers to one knee.

Shion: Sometimes the worst action to take... is taking no action at all. Go home. I need to speak with Jack.

    Shion leaves. Lupin watches briefly and turns away thoughtfully. Then, something drastically changed that night. Young Lupin is sleeping until the sound of an explosion awakens her.

Lupin's Mother: *rushing in* Lupin, get up. We have to go.

Lupin: *tired and uncertain* Mother?

Lupin's Mother: *grabbing her arm and pulling her up* Now, right now, okay? Let's go!

    In the kitchen next to Lupin's bedroom, the outer door bursts inward as a heavily-breathing Shion enters.

Lupin's Mother: Shion!

Shion: Mera, what are you doing?! We need to hurry!

Mera: We can go to the safehouse!

Shion: No. I saw the rogues. I need to stop them. And you two need to leave.

Mera: What?

    The sounds of explosion, loud and ominous, causing all three to look up at the ceiling and walls in alarm.

Lupin: Mother?

    Mera gets down to her knees to make eye contact with Lupin.

Mera: It's OK, darling. Everything's OK.

    The roof breaks above her head and Lupin's vision starts to feel blurry. Crashing and a faint scream can be heard. They are soon followed by the muffled screams of many and loud footsteps accompanied by Shion's heavy breathing. Lupin comes to gradually, held by her running father. Bits of flaming sparks speckle the air.

Lupin: Father? What... Where's Mother?

Shion is bleeding profusely from above his left eye. A woman nearby screams.

Lupin: What's going on?! Where is Mother?

    Villagers run in a panic, and black specks of ash float with the sparks. A rumble caused the ground to shake and Shion falls, dropping Lupin and landing on his back.

Lupin: Father!

    Everyone runs past them as Shion pushes himself up slightly.

Shion: Lupin, you have to run.

Lupin: *moving to his father* No. Don't. Please. Get up!

   He looks up when he hears the woman laughing. Behind them, people run while slowing flowed by the silhouetted image in a cloud of smoke. It is a woman as she was smirking deadly at everyone that matches every abilities of the Creation Clan.

Shion: Listen to me, honey. You have to be brave now. Do you understand?

Lupin: *shaking his head* No, please. Please, I can't!

    Shion withdraws a knife from its sheath on his hip.

Shion: Yes, you can!

    He puts the knife in Lupin's hand and pushes her away before falling back with a groan. Lupin looks at the knife.

Shion: Take action, Lupin.

  Getting to his feet, Shion looks down at his daughter.

Shion: Your mother and I love you. I send a message to the Creation Clan and they'll find you.

Lupin: *gripping the knife tighter and fighting tears* Father...

???:  Ah, such a sad way to lose a happy family.

The woman lands on the ground behind them. Shion turns and readies his bow.

Shion: *on a cough* Go!

    He notches an arrow and pulls it back. He shouts at his daughter one more time as he releases the arrow.

Shion: Run!

  Lupin runs and Shion lets loose arrow after arrow at the woman who's laughing at him until she shocks him to death. Under an arch and jumping sideways down to a landing beside some steps, Lupin crouches, panicking. She hears sobbing from across the way and discovers the same little girl crouching beneath a building. The woman was burning every building in the center of town. Lupin realizes that her father is now dead and cries.

???:  There you are, kid.

   Lupin lets out a hyperventilating breath as she was dragged away from the little girl until the building collapses on top of her.

???:  I see that no one is gonna stop me and you have an ability of the Creation Clan.

Lupin:  What are you-? *felt her powers were draining until she was released from the woman's grip* What did you do?

???:  Consider that as a parting gift. If we encounter each other, I'll kill you.

    Suddenly, lightning strikes the woman away from Lupin as the dragon was roaring at her. Lupin was scared until she sees a cloaked person was watching the woman running away. Lupin looks down to herself and cry.

???: *putting his hand on her shoulder* Hey!

   Lupin gasps but calms when she sees that she's not been found by anything intending her harm.

???: You have to be brave.

   Lupin whimpers and then throws her arms around the cloaked person. His eyes and arms go wide before he accepts in.

Lupin: I'm scared...

???: I know.

  The cloaked person moves to retrieve a wooden sword on the ground, but Lupin clutches his arm, afraid.

???: It's OK.

    With another whimper, Lulin lets him go and watches with big eyes as he moves away. The cloaked person grabs the wooden hammer and returns to her.

???: We'll keep each other safe.

  He offers her the sword. She looks down at it, clearly emotional before she takes it from him.

???: What's your name?

Lupin:  Lupin.

Kaiser: I'm Lord Kaiser.

   He smiles at her, blinking. Then, Kaiser noticed some bruises on Lupin's arms.

Kaiser:  I'll go after her.

Lupin:  Please...don't leave me. It's from my training with the Creation Clan and they never go easy with me or my parents when they were young.

Kaiser:  Was that Clan, your family?

Lupin:  I'm...not sure anymore. They talked about my HellWolf form is a curse behind my back. The Creation Clan only think that my mom and I were mutant towards them, but my father wants to protect us from them.

Kaiser:  Transform into your HellWolf form because I don't see a curse within you.

Lupin:  Okay.

    Lupin transforms into her HellWolf form and Kaiser was surprised by it.

Kaiser:  Why don't you come with me and I'll help you find that woman or anyone that's associated with her.

Lupin:  Okay.

  As the Sun was rising in front of Lupin's face, she woke up and looks at Mark and Zukini.

Lupin: Good morning. So. That dream of yours. The Creation Clan invited you in for a drink? That’s big... that’s big. What did they say?

Mark:  *sleep talking to Lupin* What do you think they say?

Lupin:  What-- you can’t tell me?

   Mark is silent. Lupin goes cold.

Lupin: Oh. Forgive me for intruding on your deep, personal relationship
with the Creation Clan. I see how it is. You tell me to not transform into a HellWolf to dazzle them, and then
you think you could blow past me? I thought you were different. I thought you thought I was
different. I thought--

  Now, seemingly looking straight at her, Mark snores. Lupin gasps and delivers a roundhouse slap to Mark's
face. Mark corkscrews and stumbles to the ground. Mark-- now completely awake and utterly confused at the
crucial chunk of his life he’s somehow missed-- looks up at the furious Lupin with wide eyes.

Lupin:  I didn’t have to save you. If I
looked out only for myself, I could
have let you die. But----I wanted you to survive. I liked you. My mistake.

  Lupin turns, storming out of the rooftop and head towards the door to the apartments. Both Mark and Zukini- who wakes up, watch him go. Mark turns to Zukini.

Mark: Zukini, I need to tell her something. I can’t hold it in any more.

    He grabs Zukini's arm and runs inside after Lupin.

Outside of the apartment in an alley, Lupin is already walking until Mark runs to her.

Mark: Stop! Don’t walk away--

  Lupin stops and Look at him.

Mark:  Look. I’m no good with words. I’m no good with making friends or escaping, either. At least not without your help.

Lupin: I hate false modesty. It’s just
another way to lie. You have a family.

Mark: But I don’t! Really!

Lupin: What do you mean?

Mark:  I mean I use to have a family, but Joseph and that woman took them away from me and killed them. I would’ve followed you, I would’ve followed your advice. I would’ve followed your advice to the end of the universe because I love-- you.

Lupin:  What... ?

Mark:  But... I have a secret.

  Lupin’s eyes narrow. She’s not liking the sound of this.

Mark: It’s sort of disturbing.

  Mark chuckles sheepishly, then straightens as if to make an announcement, taking a deep breath.

Mark: I have a cr... aah--uht...

Lupin: What...?

Mark: I have a cruhh... tsh

Lupin:  You have a crush?

Lupin:   NO! No... I have this great... a
, uh...an... an-- *quickly blurts it out* - idea that could help us.

Lupin:  An idea.

Mark:  Yes... yes, it’s... uh, uhhhmmn...
...going to see many Clans--

Lupin:  With a book about them.

Mark:  Why is it so hard to talk to you?? *gathering courage*
Okay. Here we go. You-- inspire me.
I’m going to risk it all. I’m going
to risk looking like the biggest
idiot psycho you’ve ever seen.

  Lupin is starting to get scared as her hand drops discreetly into her pocket and emerges clutching a tiny cannister of pepper spray.

Mark:  You wanna know why I’m such a fast learner? Why I’m such a great fighter? Don’t laugh! I’m going to show you--

  Lupin looks worried. Mark slowly starts walking towards her until Zukini pushed Mark forward toward Lupin’s face as he plants a big kiss on Lupin’s lips. Lupin is frozen, pepper spray in hand, her shock and surprise surpassed only by Mark’s own. As they continue their startled kiss, their eyes flash through a myriad of emotions; surprise, fear, anger, vulnerability, happiness, and finally-- surrender. Their arms wrap around each other. Zukini smiles to herself as she sees Mark and Lupin kissing each other.

Mark:  Look, I met you for about a two days and I don't want anything happen to you.

Lupin:  Okay.

    Zaydon teleported with Ghost until they spotted Mark.

Ghost:  I'mma gonna make that kid pay.

Zaydon:  Dude, let it go. They're just kids and I wanna see them happy.

Ghost:  Well, I see that you're different than FrostWing.

Zaydon:  How am I different from him?

Ghost:  Aside from his charms, principles, and experiences, you suffered more than me, him, and Maurice and you wanna make people happy.

Zaydon:  Besides, I'm sorry about the vodka thing, the mistakes I've made, and the whole Trisha/Mindy thing. I can only forgive Mindy, but not Trisha for what she did to my parents and Shiva.

Ghost:  It's okay, Zaydon.

Zaydon:  It's not okay. I was just angry at her attacking everyone on Earth like her brother, murdering my parents and our relatives with her family, and torturing Shiva. Look, we've been rivals when we first met each other and I don't mind having a shrine in Scavadania or being buried to everyone that I cared about. What matters to me is that I'll be the person that's gonna make everyone remember what I did and become.

Ghost:  Heh, I wonder where you've inherit that attitude from?

Zaydon:  It's from my dad.

Ghost:  I bet he's more generous and skillful when he was young.

Zaydon:  Yeah. Anyways, let's head to the pizzeria.

Ghost:  Okay.

   Zaydon grabs Ghost's shoulders and teleported away.
