How Ana and Shadow Met (🖤❤️x💙💙)
*OFFICIAL HEADCANON VERSION*
★★★
(This is based off the Sonic Prime series 🥰)
While her brother Sonic is off on his own, it gives Ana the perfect chance to go on a run for herself, maybe pick up some gold rings lying around, and above all, run at her own pace.
Being around Sonic, it definitely is a race.
But since she's got this rare evening to herself--where everything is going good--she's going to use this to the fullest.
After fastening her shoe laces, digging her heels into the earth, she takes off with one inhale of breath, moving at the speed of light, barely wasting any energy while doing so.
Both her and Sonic are the fastest hedgehogs in the world, so running as fast as the Flash himself, while barely using up any energy, that's pretty damn legendary.
Well, legendary in Green Hill, and beyond.
Playfully, Ana slides under a small rock opening, emerging on the other side unaffected as she continues to run, pumping her legs and arms.
While her brother may lack in the gymnastics department, she's a professional at it.
During her runs, she'll playfully do front and back flips, cartwheels, etc...all with fluidity.
After all, where she lacks in special abilities, she makes them up by perfecting other abilities.
Plus, if it means that she'll be better than Sonic when it comes to some things, she'll make damn sure she's got it perfected.
"WOOOO!" Ana rolls, sliding practically to homebase while grabbing three gold rings, before she dashed forward, leaving behind a trail of blue electricity in her wake.
These are the moments worth living for, no pressing matters, no one demanding her presence...she's finally got the taste of freedom.
And she's addicted.
After all, what could go wrong on such a fine day such as this?
Well, it was a fine day...until a sudden glint of light hundreds of feet ahead of her caught her attention.
She didn't slow down, nor did this...thing.
But as it got closer, her eyes squinted.
It almost looked like Sonic...
"Sonic? Hey what are you--"
Ana goes soaring in the air, her body hitting the ground harshly as she skids backwards.
"Ugghhhhh," she groans, coughing while rolling onto her side, clutching her stomach in pain. "What the fuck?!"
In the dust cloud, a silhouette walks.
"What did you do?!" They shout--well, HE shouts, approaching Ana.
She immediately sits up, hands placed behind her. "What did I DO?! Who even are..."
She trails off...not by choice, but by the fact that all breath left her lungs when she actually got a CLOSER look at this... hedgehog.
He resembles Sonic, except the aura is ten times darker, and his quills are black with red stripes.
His crimson eyes hold a deadly intense gaze, all of which keeps Ana practically under a spell.
Despite her better judgement, she can't help but stare, jaw dropped, eyes widened. And her heart, beating a million miles per hour.
Chaos...he was GORGEOUS. Thank chili dogs Sonic wasn't here...he'd never let her live it down.
He finally stops in front of her, arms crossed, his eyes suddenly widening, one eyebrow raised in suspicion.
"You're not Sonic," he grumbles, "who are you faker?"
Faker? Well, how rude. But he can get a free pass. Or as many passes as he likes.
Ana gets back up on her feet, brushing away the dust that stuck to her shorts and crop top. "My name is Ana, I'm Sonic's sister."
"Sister?!" His jaw almost drops, before he immediately corrects it.
And just when Ana thought he couldn't look any more sour, he did...
"And here I thought one Sonic was bad enough, now there's two," he grumbles, nails digging into his own crossed arms.
God he's an asshole, she thinks to herself.
A...really hot one...
"Where is Sonic?" He asks. Straight to the point.
She looks at him. "Why do you want to know?" She says defensively. "I don't know who you are."
"And it's none of your business," he steps forward, hands clenched at his sides, "now tell me where he is."
A demanding man...is kinda hot. She'll never admit that he did kinda scare her just now.
"He's around somewhere, I don't know exactly--Hey where are you going?! Wait!"
She doesn't take no for an answer.
Immediately, she catches up to him, ignoring his deadly glare, her focus entirely on his feet.
"You roller skate?!" She exclaims excited, "that's cool!"
"They're air shoes," he replies in a dry manner, not hiding the fact that he's staring at her--or, more like observing her abilities.
He can't believe there's another blue bastard. One was enough.
She's probably just like that annoying blue ball of energy.
"Well it's still cool!" She smiles, "I'm Ana!"
"I don't care."
"Well you should," she suddenly remarks, running to the front of him and stopping, one hand propped on her hip.
He has to skid just to keep from colliding into her.
With a low growl and clenched fists, he says through gritted teeth.
"Unless you're going to help me, I suggest you leave."
"I might help," she says, trying to hide the sudden blush that formed on her cheeks from how low his voice just dropped.
"That is if you tell me your name."
For a moment, he's baffled, before it's replaced with annoyance.
Now is seriously not the time for childish games, but since she's sister to Sonic, she most likely has his annoying determination. And besides, maybe she does know where Sonic is.
"Shadow."
"Hm?"
"It's Shadow," he replies, crossing his arms, "now you know. Are you going to help me?"
She grins, playfully throwing her arm around his shoulder.
"Well Shadow, looks like you and I are gonna get along swimmingly!"
Shadow pushes her off. "Don't touch me."
Ana falls to the ground, but giggles, rolling a little. "Totally worth it..."
