Austin: it's less likely to never happen. The Kadokawa Corporation hangs onto the license for Gamera as much as Toho does with godzilla. Plus, they'll really haft to be pulling some very hard strings in order to have both godzilla from Toho in the same MonsterVerse with Gamera from Kadokawa.
