Why Powerscaling sucks now

What's up everyone it's Mario and Sonic gamer and today I'm going to be talking about a topic I have been wanting to discuss for a while now and that is powerscaling sucks now. I remember back when I got into Vs debating that I thought powerscaling was cool and it was awesome especially crossover battles. Now years later it's slowly but surely falling apart on me, so what I'm going to explain what makes powerscaling bad now and in the end I'll also explain how I would be able to fix it to make powerscaling more enjoyable at least for my taste hopefully. But before we start I feel like I should point out that despite the title I don't hate powerscaling I'm just going to give out my reasons on why I think it sucks now so without further ado let's get started.

Let's start things off with my reasoning. It's pretty simple really, is the amount of terms that people in the powerscaling community use these days. Back then before I even got into powerscaling somewhere in my childhood people would usually use the term multiversal and that's pretty much it multiversal is usually used to describe characters who have the power to destroy the multiverse or at least be somewhere close to that. Which is all good but then there's terms such as hyperverse, outerverse, and omniverse and that's where the issue lies. Now you might be wondering why is this an issue? Well let's take a look at the definition for each of these. According to the definition multiverse is a a theoretical reality that includes a possibly infinite number of parallel universes.

Now let's take a look at hyperverse defined as a reality of a higher dimensional order than our own likely 11-dimensional multiverse.

As for outerverse is described as a location or structure that is unbound by the idea of Dimensions and Space-Time.

And lastly omniverse concept that consists of everything from multiverses.

There are other terms that can be used metaverse and extraverse but the point is that those are terms that people use in scaling. But this is where things get confusing, going by the first definition the multiverse is described as infinite universes so how can there be more than one multiverse? Wouldn't that mean add to the fact that there is still infinite universes? Like it all that kind of stuff that makes me never understand stuff like outerversal, hyperversal, and omniversal when to my eyes they all mean basically almost the same thing. And don't even get me started on boundless which going by the definition which means limitless.

Boundless is honestly what sealed the deal for me because that would imply that there is absolutely no one in fiction that can beat you which is utterly stupid the fact that this term exists infuriates because nobody is limitless especially in cross verse vs battles. With all these terms that people use it became extremely difficult for me to keep up with the type of scaling and as a result we have too many power creeps like with Marvel and DC for instance though Marvel and DC can be an entirely different discussion in another chapter but the point is that these terms are used to describe how OP the characters are and our supposed to be and it just gets complicated real quick. Things get even more confusing when you factor in the speed side or things. Infinite speed means that infinite speed incalculable and immeasurable speed means impossible to calculate and they are beyond time and space and irrelevant means beyond the concept of speed itself. Now this is once again brings up some questions. Why is it that we need different terms to describe on something that is basically the same? Isn't impossible to calculate infinite? And how is irrelevant beyond the concept of speed itself? Like it's all this kind of stuff that has always confused me and many of these terms even though they are logical factual doesn't make sense to me at all.

Now let's go on how I would fix powerscaling to make things easier for at least me. So to put it simply I'm going to stop using terms such as hyperversal, outerversal, omniversal, immersible, incalculable, irrelevant speed or any of that and just stick to multiversal and infinite speed, some of you guys are likely going to call me out for lowballing but you know what? I don't care if there's a statement that says this person can destroy all reality itself, all of creation, or separate space-time I'm calling it multiversal I don't care about there being an omniverse I'm just going to consider it a multiversal level of power, if there's a character that says they are beyond the concept of speed itself I'm calling it infinite speed I don't care. Again a lot of people are going to say I'm crazy but I don't care this is the only way for power scaling to be much easier for me now we can have Game Sonic and Archie Sonic be equal in power as people have been stating they are, and most importantly many characters at least have a chance against Marvel and DC characters by using this logic. Of course there are obviously going to be stomps yes but at least things won't be completely complicated.

But hey guys that's all for the chapter thank you so much for reading like I said this is all just my opinion and this is how I'm probably going to scale from now on if you disagree with me that's perfectly fine. Other than that let me know in the comments below what your thoughts are in the comments below and I will see you all next time. Peace.
