Yo what's going on guys it's Mario and Sonic fanboy and today we're going to be talking about the situation of what's going on in the Pokémon anime my childhood and everyone else's childhood where it centers around a Pokémon Trainer named Ash Ketchum and his partner Pikachu.

We all love this dynamic duo they went on countless journeys catching other Pokémon, making new friends battling villains such as Team Rocket saving the world and even won a fee tournaments which is a sign that is one step closer to being a Pokémon Master and that journey seemed very endless going from season to season region to region like it seemed like Ash was on this adventure forever. However after 25 years it's finally confirmed that Ash's seemingly endless adventure will finally come to an end. It's a sad day for all Pokémon fans and me personally because I was never interested in the games to begin with I've always loved the anime growing up and Ash and his pal Pikachu were there every step of that journey so seeing them finally reach the final arc of their story where Ash finally becomes a Pokémon Master it is really sad. But like with some other series we know of it's not truly the end as we have two new protagonists who will start their journey in the new series. There names are Liko and Roy.

But strangely enough there have been theories going on Liko (the girl on the left) is actually Ash's daughter years later after he became a Pokémon Master. I was a bit confused but after some further digging I started to get this theory and saw all the possibilities so that's what we're going to be doing today. I'm going to give my reasons and evidence as to why I think Liko is Ash's daughter, who is Liko's mother, and why it make sense for Liko to be Ash's daughter. So without further a do let's begin.

Why Liko is Ash's daughter

Okay so to get an explanation as to why Liko is Ash's daughter let's take a look at their appearances. First off if you take a closer look at the picture you would notice that Liko's hairpin has the exact same logo as Ash's hat in the first series in the Kanto region. Not to mention she does appear to have a bit of black hair which is something Ash usually has.

Is this pure coincidence? I think not. Because this is not the first time where we see characters have something similar in anime and manga one of the best examples is Naruto where Tobi prior to his reveal as Obito Uchiha, it appeared that Tobi had the same hairstyle Obito when he was younger when he seemingly died in the Third Great Ninja War.

This was clearly not pure coincidence as Kishimoto intentionally gave them both the same hair style and to give the readers a hint that they may actually be the same person because of the resemblance and build up. and sure enough it was confirmed during the Fourth Great Ninja War that Tobi is Obito.

I don't think the Pokémon anime creators gave Ash and Liko the same logo out of pure coincidence there has to be some kind of hint that their both related like it just has to. Another example of this is if you take a good look at Liko's necklace which appears to be the Thunder Stone.

And we've seen this Thunder Stone in the anime before where Ash has it in a gym battle against Raichu, where Pikachu refuses to evolve. Again no way this is pure coincidence as this stone was introduced in the Kanto region. So it's possible that Liko could be born in the Kanto region. So that covers the first part of why I think Liko is Ash's daughter but now the question is if Ash is the father who is the mother?

Who is Liko's mother?

Now that we've got Ash being the alleged father out of the way it's time to go over who would be Liko's mother. People have been speculating that it would be one of Ash's female companions and two of the most primary is Dawn and Serena.

Now based on some research and some digging I think that it is likely that Serena would be Liko's mother now let me explain sure Dawn has blue hair and blue eyes like Liko but she's been getting a lot of changes to her appearance to more grayish even the reliable source wiki for all Pokémon says this.

And when you look at Liko her hair and eyes don't have any gray at all and even if we ignore all of that Dawn has never been shown to have any romantic feelings for Ash despite what salty shippers might say if anything she was basically just a female version of Ash and their interactions are more friendly and competitive than romantic. So now that's out of the way I'm going to explain why Serena is Liko's mother. So if you look at their appearance both Serena and Liko have some sort of spike on their hair they also have very identical blue eye colors and the have a similar chin and face.

Liko is practically the spitting image of Serena and once again this is not the first time we see a character be a spitting image of one ore both of their parents this one of the bests is Dabi from My Hero Academia. Like with Obito, prior to his reveal as Toya Todoroki, people speculated that Dabi is Toya is because of his appearance. Because like Shoto and Endeavor, Dabi has the same blue eyes, has spike hair like Endeavor, and the fact that their all fire users.

Dabi also looks a little bit like Rei in away with the chin and face. And it makes absolute sense because Dabi outright said Shoto and Endeavor's real names in their seemingly first encounters. It was no coincidence as Horikoshi intently put this their to give the readers hints that Dabi is Toya who supposedly died in a terrible accident. It was a hint perfectly payed off as it was eventually confirmed that Dabi is Toya Todoroki in the Paranormal Liberation War arc.

And again there is no way Liko would look like Serena out of pure coincidence there has to be something to it and much like how it made sense for Dabi to know his family's real names it also makes perfect for Serena to be Liko's mother as throughout the XY series unlike most of Ash's female companions who see him as a friend/friendly rival, Serena was showing clear and obvious signs that she has a crush on Ash and has romantic feelings for him ever since they first met as kids. And by the end of the series Serena outright kissed him now obviously you couldn't tell because the camera rolled down but based on the way she leaned in on him and based on the reactions of Clemont and Bonnie's reactions it was clearly obvious that Serena kissed Ash. And yes we have seen girls kissed Ash in the past but none of those were even close to being romantic as Serena's so it would make sense for her and Ash to fall in love together and eventually get married and have a child like Liko I mean she's almost the spitting image of Serena. And before someone says: "But Liko has blue hair underneath the black hair while Serena has honey hair so they couldn't possibly be related." Look if Dabi can dye his white hair into black then there's no reason for Liko to do the same. And that's why I think Serena is Liko's mother. So to all of the Ash X Serena shippers out there if this theory is true know this: Rest easy knowing that your ship is canon.

Why it make sense for Liko to be Ash's daughter

Finally we can go over the reason on why it actually makes perfect sense for Liko to being Ash's daughter, regardless on who the mother is Liko being Ash's daughter would give fans something they've been asking for more than 25 years: a time skip having a time skip would finally have Ash not only age past 10 years old (and thus putting the whole Ash can't age theories to rest) but it would also allow him to mature let's think about when becoming a Pokémon Master that would require great maturity and allow one to grow as a person and I think that's something Ash should do because you don't see people like Naruto remain a teenager when he becomes Hokage no he grew up and matured. So with Liko as a potential daughter for Ash would definitely show signs that Ash finally aged, matured as a person, and make his status more believable. Another reason why Liko being Ash's daughter make sense is because with her as the new protagonist in the Pokémon anime not only would it help fans give a chance to accept her but Liko being Ash's successor would indicate many things for even though Ash's journey ended his will lives on and is pasted down to the next generation making it immortal and ever lasting. Now of course some people within the fanbase will have problems with this and will still desperately try to cling onto Ash, which is not surprising as this is not the first time a few people from a fanbase of a franchise tries their hardest to stay close to the original like with Aang with Korra (From The Legend of Korra), Naruto with Boruto, and with Hiccuo and Toothless with Tom and Thunder (From Dragons: The Nine Realms) and while in some cases I can understand it like with the Star Wars Sequel Trilogy (As well as the woke propaganda) people still don't want to accept the fact that the OG's time in the spotlight is over, their stories are done and nothing else left to tell so why stick on to them to try and make their stories endless and eventually boring? So rather we like it or not Ash and Pikachu's time is over there is nothing else left to tell and while I will always prefer the OG over the NG the fact is Ash's time is over. Ash was a great part of my childhood but right now it's time for the torch to be pasted on to the next generation, maybe we'll see Ash again in the new anime like some kind of cameo appearance but regardless his time in the spotlight is done which is why I think that Liko being Ash's daughter makes sense. I sure hope that this theory is true like not only would it make sense but it would be prefect. Yes I am sad that Ash will be gone next year but I sure can't wait to see what's in store for the next generation of the Pokémon anime. Now only time will tell if this theory is true if she is not Ash's daughter and Liko is just a new trainer who just so happens to have the designs she has and that she doesn't have a Thunder Stone I'll be completely fine with it either way I can't wait to see the next gen Pokémon protagonist.
