Why Diamond is Unbreakable my least favorite JoJo's part

Yo what's up guys it's Mario and Sonic gamer and today we're going to be talking about JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable.

And as you can tell by the title I'm going to be explaining why it's my least favorite part. I already know Part 4 fans are going to be either screaming in my comment section or they're just going to say that it's a complete L take because Diamond is Unbreakable is without a doubt the most popular JoJo part in the entire series if you take away parts 7-9 and just have the first 6 yeah Part 4 is considered a masterpiece, peak fiction, great writing, and great characters so I'm just going to day this right now I do not hate Part 4 I enjoy it as much as I do the other parts but out of all the parts in JoJo I enjoyed this one the least especially compared to the other parts specifically Part 3 Stardust Crusaders so before you comment just hear me out okay? Now without further a do let's get started.

Let's start off with the characters. Most of them are either alright, trash, or just forgettable. Looking at Josuke Higashikata who is the main character of the story I think he's alright as a character but I have issues with him. First off he doesn't act like a main protagonist which is weird because as a main character you would think he would do stuff any main character in any media would do but that's not the case here he's either on the sidelines or helping out others. Josuke to me didn't feel like a main character he felt more like a side character like Sakura from Naruto and you know you're a bad protagonist if you act more like a side character Hell even Boruto proved himself to be a protagonist in his own series despite the hype when Naruto and Sasuke appear on screen. Like Josuke kind of sucks as a protagonist it's not even funny. Also he's very inconsistent at times one minute he acts like a good guy doing the right thing the next minute is when he acts like a gambler for people's money like Araki was clearly making Josuke look inconsistent which sucks because the first tike I saw him he had great and showed promise, like you would think Josuke would be the one to defeat the main villain but nope Jotaro ended up being the one to do it and he's not even the main character.

Speaking of Jotaro, he literally carries this entire part like if it wasn't for him there would many situations that would've been REAL bad for example if it wasn't for Jotaro, Koichi would've been dead moments earlier and Josuke and Okuyasu would've arrived too late and thus would've never been able to be healed, if it wasn't for Jotaro figuring out the weaknesses to Kira's father's ability Josuke and the others would've been dead by now, and if it wasn't for Jotaro stopping time once he got within range, Kira would've activated his Stand ability and won by killing all the main characters. Jotaro straight up carries most of Part 4 especially since if he didn't kill Dio in Part 3 Josuke would be dead a long time ago. Jotaro is my favorite character in the JoJo series mostly due to his personality, his skills as s fighter, and not giving a shit about power of friendship Jotaro was the reason I watched Part 4 in the first place without him I would've never have watched it, but I do have problems take away Jotaro's appearance from Part 3, he's completely bland, the only reason why he's there is to help with Kira and some enemy Stand users that's it. Honestly as much as I love Jotaro he should not be having moments main characters would usually have especially since his moment as the main character has passed. I honestly praise Part 5 & 6 for keeping him as more of a supporting character rather than a main one.

As for Joesph Joestar he's just a shell of what he was in Part 2 & 3 and isn't really doing much other than take care of an invisible baby.

Moving on to Okuyasu he's quite enjoyable I find myself laughing when he makes jokes and he really has an interesting backstory where he lost his brother and his father turned into something not human thanks to Dio's fleshbuds but for the most part he doesn't develop as much. He only had 2 moments of development once when he fought Red Hot Chilli Pepper and once in the final battle where he came back to life. That's it everywhere else he's just a goofy dumbass and it's fine to have a goofy dumbass but if you don't develop them through the story it's going to be a problem.

Overall the only characters I find the most enjoyable are Koichi and Rohan. And I'm not saying the characters are completely bad I think their alright but most of them are just meh and as for the side characters are either forgettable or uninteresting, it's a real shame Araki did not do anything with them compared to the rest of the Parts in JoJo but at least they're alright I think the absolute worst character in the series is the main villain: Yoshikage Kira.

Boy this is the part where people start raging. But I don't give a damn. Kira is by far one of if not the worst villain in all of not just JoJo but in anime/manga history he started off interesting but then fell flat within a second. Kira is a creepy piece of shit he literally kills women, then leaves their severed hands and acts like they're his "girlfriends", then when that hand rots he literally kills more women, he's honestly one of the most disgusting characters I have ever seen in my life and there are times when I feel like I want to vomit Kira's character in a nutshell is basically who Larry Nassar if he had superpowers. Now I know some of you guys are going to be typing: "But Kira just wants to live a normal life." Does it look like I give a shit? Because there are SEVERAL characters who want to live a normal life regardless on what they're doing. Another reason why I don't like him is that despite the claims of him being "unpredictable", "intelligent", and "cunning" Kira is actually some what of an idiot an even bigger one than Okuyasu. Like we're talking about a guy who was able to get away with murder for more than a decade because he was smart enough to know how but there are times where I felt he was being idiotic, like when he brings a severed hand of one of his victims in public, blowing up a teenager in front of a school, and following and killing them in their home all of which without checking if there were witnesses around that could be incriminating evidence that he's a murderer, if Kira was really smart he would've known better not to kill his victims without checking to see if there are some witnesses around. And the most idiotic thing he did was saying his real name in the middle of public without even checking to see if they're were other witnesses around. Keep in mind this is the same Kira who was smart enough to get a new appearance and identity so that Josuke, Jotaro, Koichi, and Okuyasu wouldn't recognize him but the moment he revealed his name not once but twice in the middle of public in front of Hayato one of victims' son and Josuke who just so happened to be there. That's one of the reasons why he was defeated because even if he was being lured into a trap he should've been smart enough to know not to reveal his name in public especially since you have enemies who are looking for you and if you don't believe me well let me give you another example where before his death he literally admits to killing dozens of women to a doctor in the middle of the street, where EVERYBODY heard and saw. If that's not enough to tell you how idiotic Kira is I don't know what is and I know some people are going to say "Oh he's being stupid so the plot can progress that's the only way for the heroes to stop him." And if that's the case it's bad writing because they're many intelligent villains who never did what Kira did just for the sake of the plot yet despite that were still defeated one of the best examples is Muzan Kibutsuji. He too wants to live a normal life despite being a demon who eats people yet is smart enough to know not to reveal his name in public and check to make sure there was no witnesses around when he kills people, there's a reason why he ignored Tanjiro when he called him by his real name because Muzan knows that if he reveals his name in the middle of public it would've been all over for him and not just Tanjiro but Demon Slayers would eventually get word of Muzan's location and track him down. What Muzan did was not for the sake of the plot it was him being a smarter villain doing whatever it takes to make sure he wasn't caught, but in Kira's case he's so egotistical that he doesn't seem to care if he gets caught. So I don't ever wanna hear Kira is the best villain in JoJo or anime history because saying Kira is the best villain is the equivalent of me saying Danzo Shimura is the greatest villain of all time. Yoshikage Kira is a trash villain plain and fucking simple you can try with all your might to convince me otherwise bur a piece of shit is a piece of shit. Period.

Moving on to the plot it's all over the place. Like I could not get through all over the place like 17 episodes feel like filler episodes they don't add up to the story apart from Kira's father giving them Stand abilities with the Arrow people tried to defend this saying that they do add to the plot but no we have a guy who tried to beat Rohan in rock paper scissors, chasing a rat, and finally the whole chief thing none of those are connected to the plot it's not like they are actively trying to kill the Joestars just to protect Kira, if you look at other JoJo's specifically Stardust Crusaders is all the episodes even if some feel like filler all add to the overall plot as in that part every single episode has the crusaders activity trying to survive their trip to Egypt while at the same time battling evil Stand users they come across and the difference between them and the ones in part 4 is that the Stand users in 3 are actually loyal to Dio and will literally got to every lengths to prevent the Joestars from reaching Dio whereas the Stand users that Kira's father makes they're all not loyal to Kira and have their own reasons for opposing the Joestars and it's not to protect them. I understand wanting the audience to take a break to from the overall plot but adding stupid stuff like I mentioned is not the way to do it, you could've easily focused on character development for your cast instead having them chase a damn rat like it's not that hard. If you guys have been reading my Animaru Kingudamu books I have an over arching them of an animal loving woman who hates humans and loves animals while another woman tries to show her that humans are not that bad, which of course my protagonist doesn't listen and goes down a dark and murderous path but still I do plan on humanizing her in the future just to show she still has some humanity left in her in other words the plot of my series is about a woman who hates humans but as the journey goes on she finds her humanity and my deuteragonist is there to help her out in some way (even though their own opposing sides) but right now in my second book I've decided to take a temporary break from the plot to make chapters focusing on other characters even though they have nothing to do with the overall plot of the series I'm at least giving them their own arcs just to make room for character development. The reason why I bring this up is because it's important to have your side characters have character arcs of their own even if it doesn't have anything to do with the overall it at least gives the side characters some character development, I really wish we could've seen some more character development for characters like Okuyasu especially since he has one of the saddest backstories in anime/manga history, I would've love to see more of Koichi's character arc in the latter half of the series, as well as Rohan's, and even some development on Josuke and Joesph's relationship. I think Araki dropped the ball on that part adding pointless stuff that should've been kept out. Overall I think the plot of part 4 was supported to be about some form of mystery like part but it went all over the place.

But anyways guys that's going to be it for the chapter overall I don't hate Diamond is Unbreakable in fact it's not bad because despite it's problems I do enjoy it at the same time the music is great and the animation looks dope and there are many funny moments that made me laugh especially when people make fun of Josuke's hair I'm just explaining why JoJo 4 is my least favorite out of all the parts in the series due to having a cast of characters that are average at best, unnecessary plot-lines, and terrible villain. Again I already know that a lot of people will disagree with me because to be honest Diamond is Unbreakable is one of the most popular JoJo parts, but I gave my arguments on why I'm not a huge fan of part 4 and if people disagree with me as a result so be it. Anyways guys thank you all for reading and I will see you all next time. Peace.
