Talking about the Death Battle community one last time.

Yo what's going on guys and today we're going to be talking about the Death Battle community now the last time I talked about them was back in February where I made a post about Matthew DiLeva after he apology that was towards not just the fandom but the cast and crew of Death Battle and based on the nature of the apology it led me to believe that the crew played apart in his drama more on that later. For now let's just dive into the  point of the chapter, as you guys can tell by the title this is the last time I'm talking about the Death Battle community after that I'm never talking about them again. Before we get into it I'm just going to say that this in no way is me being hateful to the entire community especially those who did nothing wrong and aren't apart of this drama and this is not a rant like the last time, it's just closure so I can get this off my chest. With all this being said let's get this chapter started.

When I first heard of Death Battle when I was around in middle school I never really cared about it, I wasn't into Vs debating at the time by the time I got into high school that was when I started getting into it debates and during that time I eventually got into Death Battle I even joined a couple of their Discord servers and going into them I realized that their community are not your typical vs debaters, and based on my experience I actually believe that the Death Battle community is an entirely separate community from the VS community. Now I know people are going to get mad at me for this but the reason why I think this is because the DB fandom has these "rules" where they determine if a matchup with good connections, dynamic, thematic, and animation potential and if they don't it's not a goof MU, average vs debaters don't have these kinds of rules because they usually don't care about that type of stuff they can like or dislike the MU regardless. And being a separate community is not a bad thing and for a while I was fine with that it was a struggle but I eventually got used to. However it didn't last long.

When I gotten into debates with Death Battle fans and much like other simple debates some are good and others are bad but if I learned anything during my time from when I used to be a part of this community is that the DB fans are easily offended like I've seen fanbases be offended by very little things but the Death Battle fandom is one of the most sensitive fandoms I've ever seen, up there with Dragon Ball, Sonic, Genshin Impact and a few others the reason I say this is because they can blindly defend Death Battle and if you criticize or debunk the show you better prepare yourself for a riot at your doorstep. But apparently the results of the fight are not the only things you'll get roasted for. I found a post on Reddit by someone who appears to be a former Death Battle fan and he says you'll get destroyed for criticizing their analysis and even the animation itself.

Like are you kidding me? It's bad enough that you would go on to say debunkers like Jobbers and Goons and the Ink Tank are biased for being apparently "one sided" which is kinda ironic because Death Battle does the same thing but you  also will then go on to get angry because someone criticizes the analysis and animation? I've seen people criticizing the analysis and animation yet I don't see them getting destroyed but then again I shouldn't really be surprised anymore. Now he did say that the fandom sociopathic now that's a serious allegation and frankly unless I see evidence of people having signs of sociopath behavior I wouldn't really use that term because from what I've experienced sure their easily triggered and have some sort of superiority complex but that doesn't make them sociopaths so I wouldn't put them in the same category as SethTheProgramer.

Another type of arguments I get into is that some of the fans don't seem consistent whenever you judges a MU that's in the Death Battle community you will get stuff like stomps don't matter, 100 connections don't matter as long as the animation is good. But then recently I started to see so many of them started to change their arguments and apparently some stomps matter but others don't. You're meaning to tell me that because Omni-Man VS Homelander, Rey VS Korra, Azula VS Dabi, Mario VS Link, and Kiana VS Noel are bad because their stomps and extremely one sided but Trunks VS Silver, Palpatine VS Xehanort, Meta Knight VS Zero, Mega Man X VS Optimus Primal, Shadow VS Ryuko, Aang VS Edward get a pass? Keep in mind some of the arguments on the former are bad is because they're huge stomps, you do realize that Xehanort stomps Palpatine stomps even harder than Korra ever did to Rey in her entire lifetime right? (though it's the other way around now) Where the Hell is the consistency? I thought stomps and scaling issues don't matter as long as the fight itself is good now all of the sudden some stomps matter but others don't? I'm starting to believe that deep down the Death Battle fandom does care. It's one thing to say the fight doesn't work if it doesn't have great animation qualities but it's another thing to day it's bad because it's a stomp. There also really inconsistent when it comes to scaling characters this one time I got into an argument on Sasuke VS Hiei and they've been saying shit like Hiei is immune to everything Sasuke has including genjutsu, fire, lightning, etc, but now all of the sudden Hiei isn't quite immune to Sasuke anymore and can 100% be affected by genjutsu? I know people change their opinions as the years pass but if I learned anything from both the Death Battle and VS communities is it isn't always the case and that people can be quite inconsistent to the point where they actually want you to debunk them hell I can be inconsistent as well like nobody's perfect, the reason I bring this is up is these type of arguments started coming up because of Madara VS Aizen they did.

Now the last part I want to go over is the way Death Battle fans acts towards other people, now as I've said before they are easily triggered but this is the part where things get dark aside from my experience and the guy on Reddit there are a few others who had problems with them a while back someone (forgot their name) told me they got into an argument and apparently what happened was the fans accused them attacking everyone over something they said to a few people said he would rather be an idiot than agree what the vast majority of the fandom says and apparently that's what set them off. If this is true this is borderline cancel culture at it's finest. What in the right mind would think that just because he said about choosing to be an idiot than agreeing what the fandom thinks is in one way attack them? Hell the vast majority literally doesn't mean everyone yet somehow you take it as attacking all of them? So if I was to say I would rather jump off the highest cliff than agree with people to shop at Walmart according to the Death Battle fan's logic I'm insulting all of Walmart for not agreeing to shop there. (Obviously I wouldn't say something like this but you should get the point). Just because some disagrees with you doesn't mean there insulting you people have different viewpoints than you so you shouldn't assume they have the same opinion. They also said that the fans accused them of starting insulting and their hypocrites because the fans started calling them dumb and stupid. Are you kidding me? Even if the person was dumb you can't accuse people of starting insults when you yourself do the same thing that's literally you for playing the victim card, and if insults are something you can't handle I have a suggestion for you: Get off the internet for a long time, get help from a professional therapist, read a book, go outside breath the fresh air and touch some grass, and get a fucking job because that's just frankly childish and stupid and apparently they also said that the fans told them they relay on others without doing their own research even though they do the same thing which is basically another example of hypocrisy. The Death Battle fandom is desperate to get their point across that they're more than willing to play the victim and not admit to any wrongdoing or be held accountable for their own actions. If I had knew they would be this bad back when I used to be a fan I would've gone berserk and show them no mercy especially after what happened to Matthew.

Speaking of which as if the arguments aren't bad enough they decided to attack this YouTuber named Matthew DiLeva.

This guy was know for spoiling stuff of what happens in the fight he's gotten massive backlash as a result of which has led to him getting banned on Discord servers, even though one not only has he warned people there will be spoilers but the very same people giving him backlash are also the ones spoiling Death Battle episodes. This is clearly huge hypocrisy so hard I don't know the words for it. Like how the fuck does this guy get all the heat for spoiling Death Battle yet when other people do the same thing as him they don't get cancelled that's what infuriates me, and what makes me even more angrier is the fact that he had to apologize to the crew themselves which led me to believe that they too played apart of the Hell Matthew was put through, being apart of KickVic was already bad enough for why I left the community but this just added insult to injury. And frankly I refused to be apart of it I refused to be associated with this community which is unfortunate because there are those in the community who would not being doing this type of drama and are truly innocent and did nothing wrong it doesn't matter how much great work they put into their content or community if the people behind them are mostly pieces of shit their creations are of no value to me which is why I moved on so I can go back to the roots of VS Debating with no set of rules stopping me.

Anyways guys that's it for the chapter. If you're a Death Battle fan who wouldn't act the way these people act understand I have no ill towards you alright, if you still enjoy being apart of the community then it's cool everyone has their own experiences some good some bad. Like I said this is the last time I'll be talking about Death Battle and the community so please don't ask me for debunks because honestly if I did that I would give them the recognition they clearly don't deserve. But other than that thank you all so much for reading and I will see you all next time. Peace.
