What is up guys it's Mario and Sonic fanboy and to I'm going to be doing a movie review on the Sonic Movie 2.

I just saw the movie today and I just have to say I LOVE IT! Not only was a way better Ethan the first film but it was action pack, great character development, and much more. And I'm going to be doing the review. Now before we get started I just have to say their will be MAJOR SPOILERS for the film so if you haven't seen it yet and you don't want the movie to get spoiled click off the chapter, go watch the movie, and come back later you have been warned but you have seen the movie or you haven't but you don't mind spoilers anyway. Let's begin.

Alright so what I liked about the movie is how the approaches the film. In the last film Tom and Maddie were the deuteragonist and tritagonist and were the main focus for Sonic I like how the had the step aside throughout most of the movie so that we can also focus on Tails and Knuckles for Sonic because honestly it makes since time have Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles be the focus of this film.

Moving on to the characters with the main character obviously Sonic. In the last film his who character was not to be alone and tries to make friends and in this film he's all about trying to be a hero. And like many heroes he messes up to be the beginning and they further proved his struggles as a hero when Tails got hurt so that's why he has to go on his own and it wasn't until after he saves Knuckles when he finally accepts help because by that moment he realizes that he can't do everything on his own and that heroes are responsible for others that's great character development.

Moving on to Tails. First things first I loved how the got Colleen O'Shaughnessey to reprise her role as Tails. That alone automatically puts her as one of the best actors in the film. But anyways I love how the mention of Tails being born with two tails and how that made him be a victim of bullying pretty good stuff the problem I have with this is that they never showed a flashback of Tails being bullied or how he had to run away from his village when he found out that Sonic was living proof that even weird people can do great things. Other than that though the character in the film is completely game accurate.

Next up we have Knuckles. I have to say Idris Elba did a great job that he went beyond my expectations he was a great choice to voice Knuckles. But anyways I love how Knuckles throughout most of the film served as a dark reflection for Sonic. Both of them lost so many family members in their lives Sonic he lost Longclaw and Knuckles lost his father and his entire tribe, both want to do great things Sonic is to be a hero and Knuckles wants to help his tribe but their father figures tell them no because they have a lot of growing up to do and that their moment will come both of them have tribes that were at war for centuries the owls and the echidnas and both of them had human friends who they trusted Tom and Eggman respectively the only difference is that Tom was an actual friend for Sonic whereas Eggman used Knuckles as a pawn just like in Sonic 3. They did a great job with the parallels between Sonic and Knuckles and it fits perfectly for Knuckles's redemption because he and Sonic understand each other, Knuckles was the Sasuke Uchiha to Sonic's Naruto Uzumaki it was perfect and well done.

And as for Eggman I just have to say Jim Carrey did not fail to make me proud. It would be a shame if he actually did retire though because no one can do Eggman the way he did.

Moments in the film I liked was the Sonic and Tails dance, Rachel going after her fiancée for lying to her and the love kiss, the snowboarding scene especially the part where Sonic calls Knuckles the Winter Solider, Sonic VS Knuckles fight was amazing, the Death Egg Robot, the GUN unit was introduced, and most of all Super Sonic. If you thought that the ending fight between Sonic and Eggman in the first film was great oh ho this one is much better. Super Sonic was easily. EASILY the best moment in the entire film like the way Super Sonic trashed the Death Egg Robot was incredible like it cannot get any better than this....

In the post-credits scene they introduced Shadow the Hedgehog and oh man almost everyone including myself in the theater was screaming and hyped, I can't wait for the next film it's going to be great since their going the Sonic Adventure 2 route. Overall great movie I'd give it a 9 out of 10.
