What's going on guys today I'm going to discuss a theory that some people have been talking about and that is the theory that Adam is the son of the late A-Rank Valkyrie Murata Himeko. For those who don't know Adam is the main protagonist of A Post Honkai Odyssey or APHO for short a spin off that takes place 8 years after the events of the first part of Honkai Impact 3rd. Adam is the first male Valkyrie ever though in his case he's a Schicksal Knight due to him being male, he is training under Raiden Mei and is part squad alongside Carole Pepper fighting against a alien race known as the Sky People a species who defeated the Honkai on their world and now is invading Earth, in other words they are essentially the Otsutsuki clan from Naruto/Boruto. He's also a self insert but in this case I'm actually fine with because unlike Traveler and Trailblazer, Adam at the very least he had moments of character development. Other than the fact he's the first male to weld Honkai energy which is extremely rare in the Honkai verse if we don't include Otto and Kevin, not much is known about Adam's past but fans have come up with theories one of those theories being weather or not Adam is Himeko's son. So for today we're going looking at arguments that supports this theory and give you my own thoughts on weather not I think Adam is Himeko's son so without further ado let's get started.

So the first thing is that there similar in genetics. If we take a look at Adam and Himeko you notice that there is a similarity when it comes yo appearance is that they both have yellow-eyes.

Hell when we look at Himeko's father Ryusuke he bears almost a striking resemblance to Adam with black hair and eye color.

Now this this isn't really far off as if we look at many other series like My Hero Academia we've seen characters such as Dabi have similar eye colors, hair styles, and looks similar to the Todoroki family before it was revealed that the reason why is because Dabi is Toya Todoroki. Now does this mean that Adam is actually related to the Murata family? No if you guys remember awhile back I made a chapter as to why I thought Liko was Ash's daughter due to have a strong resemblance to him and then it was confirmed that Liko is not Ash's daughter so I wouldn't get my hopes up as the same can be said here for Adam. But I will consider a strong possibility.

The next argument for why Adam is Himeko's son is that they are both similar as far as actions goes. If you look at their fighting styles it's nearly similar both of them have swords that let's them build up fire like energy however doing so appears to be at a great cost because we see some kind of Honkai infection on their bodies implying that if they go to far beyond their limits they risk dying in the process.

So yeah the look to be pretty similar which is pretty interesting though I have some questions which is something we'll get into later but I think another why is based on what we saw in Honkai chapter 24. So remember the statement that Adam is an extremely rare male who can adapt to Honkai other than Otto and Kevin? Well there's a scene where Mei rescues a boy who people have pointed out is very similar to Adam, which makes sense because we never actually got the boy's name.

And like Adam, the boy Mei rescued is stated to have a rare Stigma carrier.

But I think people have also used this as an argument as to why Adam is Himeko's son. So according to the boy his mother and father are gone before he could speak and his uncle said he was a jinx which caused the boy to run and be on his own for years. Basically implying that his parents are either dead or they just flat out disappeared and was a street rat as a result of running away from his uncle.

If this boy is indeed Adam which I do think it's possible and I'm hopeful that it it the case because it could actually provide some meaning and emotion behind Adam's character other than being a self insert and plus it just makes sense with the statement I said earlier. If that is the case than the argument that could be made for Adam being Himeko's son comes down to these factors: Himeko at one point finally found a date and after some sexy love Himeko became pregnant and eventually gave birth Adam which explains the infection it was the result of the Stigma pasted down from Himeko which again leads to questions we'll save for later but for now we have to estimate the time Adam would be born and how old is he now. Okay so Himeko was born in June 11th 1987 and we all know she died in the range of November to December 2016 at the age of 29. Now when we look at Adam it wasn't confirmed how old he is but I'm going to assume she's around the same age as Carole who was stated to be 16 years old because that what it appears to be because Adam does look like a teenager although he could be older or younger but we won't know until it's official. So assuming that Adam is 16 years old in the year 2025 which takes place 8 years after Part 1 which ended in 2017 then, Adam would be born around 2009 and by that point Himeko would be 22 years old and it would make sense she'd want to date a guy around the time given her short lifespan as a result of using Artificial Stigmata later in her age and given her perverted personality, and this would mean that by the time Himeko dies Adam would be around 7 years old and it also makes sense because if Adam is indeed the boy Mei saved he would be around 8 years old because it's worth noting that Mei didn't join World Serpent until 2017.

Now let's go on to my thoughts on this and answer the obvious question some of you guys have been asking at this point: Do I think Adam is Himeko's son? Before we get into that though I have some questions of my own: If Himeko had a child why wasn't there any hints about it? Why didn't Himeko tell anyone that she had a child, much less tell Kiana when they were in that afterlife state in Chapter 25? Why would she supposedly abandon that child especially since if Adam is the boy that Mei saved? How would Artificial Stigmata be passed down to bloodline when it was already established and shown that only Legendary Stigmata and Natural Stigmata can do that? Now I'm going to try and answer these questions the best way I can. So as for Artificial Stigmata I wouldn't rule out the possibility that it could be passed down through bloodline since it was made to micmic the other 2 Stigmata. As for why Himeko didn't tell anyone it's possible for reasons that are personal to her. Now as for Himeko abandoning her child well there could be several possibilities like it could be that her lover died and thought that her child died as well when in reality he survived, it could be that Himeko lost the lover and left the child to her lover's brother and left to protect the child from the world of Honkai. It's also worth noting that Himeko had had trouble finding a partner and has dated multiple times but their relationships didn't work out either due Himeko's work or her being addicted to alcohol or her perverted personality so even if she did date Adam's father there's a likely chance their relationship would not work out like maybe it did work out the problem is with Himeko's issues I stated earlier or maybe Himeko got pregnant with Adam by accident and they were not ready to have children given their younger age at the time so they ended up breaking up due to maybe one blaming the other or Himeko so focused on work she wouldn't have time to be a mother and Adam's father ended up being the one to abandon him. I don't know there are many possibilities as for why there weren't any hints about it I think that if the theory was true I think Hoyo didn't want to make it too obvious like the reveal on what happened to the real Kiana Kaslana who was thought to be dead but in reality the real Kiana survived and became Durandal. There's just so many possibilities how this could be. Overall I think this theory is interesting but as to why I think the theory is true... eh I'm going to say no for now until we get more clues or if Hoyo outright confirms it. If Adam is indeed Himeko's son than this adds a lot more meaning in Adam's character because that would mean that Adam is carrying the fire that his late mother passed down to him and it would make his relationship with Mei and Bronya and later Kiana much more meaningful since if they figure it out that their teacher had a son that they are training it can definitely open to some incredible moments. But who knows really I do hope we get some answers when APHO 3 comes out in the future.
